I have visited this place alone. my experience was very good during my stay there. I feel the atmosphere was awesome. The garden was clean and well maintained. You can get eatables outside the garden.

We were taken here on our first afternoon in Mumbai. Yes it is quite a tranquil place, away from all the hubbub of the city, but it could be so much more with a little care and attention. For example, many of the benches need to be repaired and some of the plants need some loving. It is a real... More

The Hanging Gates are a great escape from the madness of Mumbai. Great views, beautiful trees, The Old Shoe for kids make it a worthwhile hike and the chance to look around Malabar Hills as well.

Used to be a very well-maintained green getaway for Mumbai denizens in the older days, but the condition and upkeep of the hanging gardens has deteriorated these days. It is an open space with trees alright (a rarity in itself for Mumbai), but it does not have anything special to see or do.

C1 ( 2014.12.09 ) Good place in the city. The large place was good to walking with green. On my Mumbai's trip, I walked there for rest. I think there was so-so, not good, not bad. If you trip in Mumbai, there was good to rest in tight schedule.

For open space starved city, this garden is an oasis. Hanging garden as well as the adjacent Kamla Nehru park offer the nearby residents the pleasure of breathing in natural environs. The place remains flooded with people especially in the evenings. The Boot house happens to be a huge draw with kids and their parents. The park also has a... More

I'm not sure why this is listed as one of Mumbais attractions to see! It's a garden that is poorly kept and doesn't seem to have alot of plants in it. There are plenty of other things to see in and around Mumbai leave this off your list.
