Been here multiple times, weekends are very crowded for the right reasons... But, you should be willing to spare a large part of your day (atleast half-a-day) to complete the journey thru the zoo and spending time at each location watching and reading about the animals. It's tons of fun & education, if you take the kids along - especially... More

Peaceful little boat trip on the lake with a friendly guide. Butterfly garden for the camera buff. Peacocks and other birds on exhibit, but of course, these can be seen in the wild all over India. Dont miss the tower view that overlooks the lake.

We really liked the following points: A lot of animals and birds under one roof. Right from Tall Giragges to a variety of birds, monkeys and some very huge lephants (tuskers). - worth visiting and especially so for children. Very well maintained. Presence of battery operated vehicle to take tourists around. Provision of basic amenities. If you have kids or... More

Very well maintained Zoo, probably one of the best i saw in india. The layout i svery accessible for seeing all the animals. Loved every minute spent there with my niece. The giraff at the entrance were magnificient. The tiger was majestic and made our day. The leopards enclosures were so huge and well appointed.

The place is very well maintained. The greenery of the zoological gardens will surely steal your heart. There is facility of smokeless cars @ 125 per person if you don't want to walk. Overall we had a great time.

From when i visited the zoo a year back to now they have really come a long way. The zoo is cleaner, well maintained, organized and stink free. There have been efforts to keep the zoo plastic free and they are doing a pretty good job about it. The animal enclosures are clean and the animals look healthy !!! It... More

I am usually not a fan of zoos and places where animals and birds and kept in confinement. Mysore zoo is different. It is well maintained, organised and clean. It is lush and peaceful. If you a nature lover, or looking for a peaceful place in Mysore, this is your answer.

A well kept, well maintained zoo. Liked the option of availing battery operated vehicle which is useful for elderly in the family. Enough refreshment options in between. Parking yard facilities can be better with a paved grounds rather than the present earthy one with mud/slush in some points
