It is for sure a wonderful place. I had to walk a lot though to see the places around. They have the golf car facility. but its no fun to skip the spots around the zoo. Lot of animal varieties and a perfect place for a peaceful stroll. It should be a high priority place, if you plan to visit... More

Good place to spend half of your day.. Better to reach there by morning itself so that you can can cover most of the area before it gets too warm. Battery operated carts are also available in the zoo.

The zoo does contain a variety of animals, birds, and reptiles. The Indian pythons was an awesome site. Many verieties of birds are availble. The main feature I liked about the zoo is the systematic way they have architectured the zoo. The pathway for walking through the zoo had been systematicalky build. Young children will also have a glimpse of... More

I saw a white foul (actually a peacock) rarest of rare, for the very first time. Check out the pictures posted. This place has heritage buildings and tracks for jogging... More

Coming from Mumbai, this is the best zoo every which I have visited. To start with, the area is so huge, you would easily take atleast 3-4 hours to watch the entire zoo on a leisurely pace. The animals are well maintained, large areas for them to move about. You don't feel as if they are in the cage. The... More

This is a must see place if you are travelling to Mysore with kids. 3km serpentine road across the zoo covers sprawling enclosures for animals. Compared to this zoo, the Bannerghata zoo (if you tell it zoo at all) seems childish. Mysore zoo is extremely well maintained and full of variety of animals. Needs at least 3-4 hours for watching...
