A must visit place if one is travelling near around Mysore, specially kids will love it. I would suggest to buy ticket online and avoid long queue at counter. It's almost three Kilometers, so one should visit in Morning hours (8 AM) as most animals will be active and you can avoid being tired.

I found the Mysore Zoo much better than even the London Zoo, not just in terms of the number of species available for viewing but also the cleanliness and order in which the zoo has been maintained.

Of all the Zoo's I have visited in India, this is definitely no.1 according to me. Very large enclosures for animals. All animals are kept in very healthy and clean environment. Animal adoption scheme is very good initiative by the Zoo. I would request many individuals to come forward and adopt animals and same type of scheme should be available... More

I visited the Zoo after decades. It is very well maintained and clean. There are a lot of animals well tended to. Lots of shady trees to make the walk better.Plastic free zone and maintained strictly. Lots of fun if you have small kids. Security folks deployed all around the park maintain discipline.

This is one of the best places in Mysore... The place is run brilliantly, almost makes you think that you are no longer in India... The place was very clean and to top it off there were no smells that you would expect from the animal enclosures.
