It is one of the best zoo,I have ever seen. The zoo contained a lot of animals. The zoo was well managed, directions were given and it helps us find our way and not miss even a single animal. The main attractions were 'the only gorilla in Asia, red seated Baboon, Kangaroos and albino deer'. There were other rare animals... More

This zoo is over100 years old. It has a good collection of fauna and flora. This was founded by Maharaja Charamaraja Wadeyar. Though not as big as the Delhi Zoo or The Gauwhathi Zoo, it is well designed and has excelent reputation for captive breeding. Even the Rhinos have bred in this zoo which is a rare phenomena. It has... More

A must visit when in Mysore. The zoo is well organised and clean. Low on commercialisation also (no bugging photographer or vendors of water/juice pestering). Variety of animals, birds and reptiles. Though better than most Indian zoos, wonder if the enclosures can be more green and with more water etc., Zoo encourages your children to learn. Plan to be there early... More

Instead of spending money on a safari in Bannerghatta National park in bangalore, you might better visit Mysore Zoo which has every animal including a Giraffe which welcomes you. The mysore zoo is well organized and takes you throughout the zoo without any confusions. Takes about 2 to 3 hours of walk. You can see many variety of birds, lion,... More

Amazing place , filled with all variety of animals , very huge clean and very well organised. They ensure no plastic is allowed inside, have toilets at regular interval, enough seating space and drinking water outlets. The animals are beautifull and even heartening to see that they are adopted for care by Common man

This Zoo has the most methodical layout where you will never miss seeing any of the animals. My young son, who loves animals had a great time & didn't mind all the walking around in the heat. For senior citizens & those with young children, you can hire an electric buggy for an added price. The electric buggies are free... More
