Drive to the hill-top where this temple is situated is very nice and pleasant. However, parking becomes a challenge at least on holidays. Similarly the darshan also is very chaotic. We paid heavy for the most expensive darshan ticket on the menu, but still had to line up in a long queue. When we reached the entry gate to the... More

Approx.12 km from Mysore, this temple is situated on Chamundi Hills. We went there very early in the morning. Felt very relaxed and calm once finished Darshan.

This excellent temple is atop Chamundi hill, named after the temple. The temple is clean and quite well organized, though it can get crowded and there can be some jostling. The view from the hill is magnificent too
