The Devi darshan is good. But it has turned a commercial place and usually very crowded. The maintenance is horrible and area is not at all clean

Reached the temple early Sunday morning. Its a very well maintained temple and crowd is managed well. So had a peaceful darshan of the deity Devi Chamundeshwari. Special pooja are held during the Navratri period also considered auspicious to visit here. But check on the timing as there are poojas by the Mysore Royal family and its closed for public.... More

One of very good temples in south India along with the biggest statue of Nandi... One has to take a special line by paying additional fees to avoid long queues.. The other thing they need to improve is the queue management at this temple

This lovely temple is on the top of Chamundi Hill 13km. out of Mysore. This is a 7 storey high structure covered in lovely intricate carvings and has a very interesting religious history worth reading .Named after a god revered for centuries by the Mysore Maharajas. It was built in the 12 century by the Hoysala rulers. No shoes or cameras were... unfortunately i reached this place around noon so it was very hot, so got the special darshan ticket for 100 and it was worth it as we did not had to wait for hrs in line for DARSHAN and hence got a nice darshan quickly. there are many shops outside selling plenty of items do bargain for the products.

The Shri Chamundeswari Temple is located a little way out of Mysore high in the Chamundi Hills. The Temple was named after Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva. The temple is an important local pilgrimage site and is dominated by a towering, intricately-carved, seven storey gopuram (entrance tower). The original shrine was probably built in the... More

Hi, It has historical and cultural importance. Otherwise it is a average overcrowded temple. You can find similar temples in whole south India. We took special Seva tickets for quicker darshan but when we reached in main lobby we did not have separate queue. In fact there was no queue at all. People were pushing each other. Thanks
