Scenic beauty, you see almost whole of the Mysore from this hill top, a lovely drive till the temple. Temple gives you a good sense of being... Amazing view of the city plus the fresh air is just awesome

The exterior is well worth a visit. If you want to go inside (not particularly recommended if you are not Hindi) pay the few extra rupees for the fast pass, and skip the long line to get in. Westerners - sorry to be culturally insensitive - not much to see inside, if you've already been to one Hindi temple, and... More

For others, its a place to have a memorable view of sun set. The entrance to temple has the famous mahishasur statue. There are defined darshan timings. Parking is not... More

The temple has become so much cleaner, best times to visit are the working days (if you can). Try and avoid Fridays if you're a tourist. Take a moment to get in the view of the city as the lights come on and catch the glittering view of the Mysore palace.

You can easily locate Chamundi Hill from practically anywhere in the city, highlight is the Chamundeswari Temple at the hill top. If you dont have own vehicle, depend either on private cabs or the city bus service (bus no 201) to reach the hilltop. The last bus leaves typically around 9 PM to city. Its a great view of entire...
