One of the best thing i liked about this place was the view you get for the city and the coconuts. Never seen massive coconuts like this before in life...

We visited this temple in the middle of the day. The temple was closed during the lunch time. Since we had to come out early, we clicked a few photographs and moved to other attraction because there were long queues formed and would have taken several hours at this place. There is a small market where one can buy soverneirs... More

Temple is located at the top of the hills. There are good viewpoints to catch good views of Mysore city. Good road to reach the temple. You don't have to wait much if you go at the right time.

Get the relaxation of soul by visiting the temple of Goddess Chamundeshwari. However, visit early in the moring or else it can be crowded with long queue.

Hello. If you are in Mysore, no matters if you have shortage of time. This will take just maximum of 2 hours from Mysore City to reach there. Best is to book a cab for trip. Will cost around $80 (500 INR) for a return trip. The temple is located at top height of Mysore. You will feel the restful... More

Chamundeshwar temple located in Mysore city is a very old temple and very famous temple. Its a Devi Temple. Darshan is not a very big hassle and almost organized. I always prefer to do darshan when ever I come Mysore.

A long drive up the Hill... A monument that is centuries old.... A brilliant view of the city below... In company of the Holy Mother and some history.... If this was all I had, I would be in heaven.... But the constant bugging of the hawkers right up to the entrance of the temple irks even the most hardened souls....... More

The drive to Chamundeshwari temple is excellent. You get to see the scenic beauty of mysore from the hills. If you plan to visit the temple, look for the timings. generally it is closed in the evening and is opened at 7:00 PM. The place around the temple is not that clean and needs lot of maintenance.

Read lots of reviews on the scenic beauty of this place . But i felt this was more of a temple and you could skip it if you dont have that religious bent.
