My wife and I spent half a day with Vidya on the Royal Mysore Walks tour, covering on foot the city's major sites and a great deal of its history. First, Vidya was warm, welcoming and happy to adapt the agenda in the few cases where we had our own focus. Second, she engaged us by asking us questions -... More

We really enjoyed this walking tour with Ananth who was friendly, good humoured, well prepared and well informed. We learnt a bit of history, a bit about architecture and some fun bits of trivia as well as visiting some out-of-the-way spots we'd never have found on our own. Ananth's passion for Mysore came through loud and clear and was quite... More

It is a common saying, that you see more by walking (or cycling), than driving through a city. Especially, when you have a well informed guide by your side, like Ananth, who can tell you interesting stories and is able to give you an insight, how local events are connected with international history. We can recommend this very informative and... More

Having read the reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to go for the Elements tour. Vidya was friendly, energetic and made sure we were not bored on the three hour long tour through the streets and markets of Mysore. She pointed out intriacate details about the city which you could not have simply found out yourself unless you read a dozen... More

The tour was an amazing experience. Vidya, the tour guide was well prepared and took us around the city showing us many amazing things. The best part was that it felt like we went around the town with a friend. It rained, and it got late while going home. But that just made the walk more memorable. I would recommend... More

How do I even start to rate this fantastic tour....luckily I came to know about this tour the day me and wife came down to mysore. Vinay was kind enough to organise a tour at the very last minute. We had taken an elements tour and our guide vishwas made this tour a really memorable one. With him we explored... More

Yes I enjoyed seeing the Palace, but the tour was my favorite part of my trip. It's great actually hearing the history, culture and other context behind the sights. And to have the chance to ask questions about whatever you see. The guide was knowledgeable and easy to connect with. They were also able to organize a tour last minute.... More

The Mysore tour was one of the highlights during our stay. Our guide spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend one that goes to see the Markets, you can not miss the markets in Mysore!!!

I had around 24 hrs to spend in Mysore and thought it would be a good idea to go on a heritage tour by Royal Mysore Walks. Ananth, a very cheerful and interesting person took me on mine. He enlightened me on how various important world events are connected to Mysore, and little known aspects of Mysore's history that includes... More

that we had with Vinay from Royal Mysore Walks. We started at Wellington Lodge with some history stories (which brought together the Duke of Wellington, Tipu Sultan and Napoleon) and then headed to the famous Devaraja market. On the way we stopped at a streetside temple, to assist a puja ritual. Devaraja is surely one of the loveliest markets one... More
