They had statues of musicians from different eras. The statue was made from wax but the instrument that they used were all real. They also had radios from different eras. Entrance fee was Rs.30.

If you are in Mysore and can spare some time, this place is worth a visit. Do not compare it with the famous wax museums of the world. Also, do not assume that any wax museum should have wax statues of personalities. If you go with that expectation, you will be disappointed. The theme of this museum is music, and... More

Its a good place but the sad part is I guess they are low on funds.. If government can support them that would be great.. The wax statues are so close to real that u would really need to look keen to see if its a statue or a person.. Good place but can be made more attractive.. Not much... More

This attraction was not known to us and just came to know while in Mysore. This museum is within city. Various musical themes like western music, South music, Punjabi music etc. are taken and such bands are made with wax statues. Musical instruments used are real one and there is good collection for them. Don't expect famous personalities statues here... More

More than a wax museum it is a museum for old musical instruments. The wax mannequins are meant for just holding the musical instruments. The wax models of famous personalities are not there. The "MUSICAL INSTRUMENT" are the main attraction here than the WAX models.

Good collection of musical instruments, however wax statues are average at best. The museum do not get any govt funds, so think like you are doing support to them while visiting this place.

What do you expect when you walk into a wax museum? Wax models of various personalities that look life-like, right? Unfortunately this very basic thing is missing in this museum. All characters look exactly the same irrespective of nationality or region and this robs you of the authenticity of what is being depicted. The only thing worth looking at are... More
