This is a very old lake situated near Mysore. You can visit this place with your friends and families. You can also swim on this lake at your own precautions. This lake is very huge and is more cleaner. This place is also very close to Melukote..

You have to ride a bit through pandavapura village to get to Thonnur kere - but we trusted Google Maps and got here finally. It was defiitely worth the ride. We reached there in the early evening - it was warm & sunny and the lake was a large expanse of sparkling blue water. There were scores of local visitors... More

Away from the crowds in the city, this place is really cool and calm. Visit it if you have time as it is a bit far from Mysore. Carry some food and water with you as there are no stalls nearby.
