When you enter the place it is like back to the old days. Nothing much has changed over years which is a good because it preserves the legacy and serenity of the place. Same old fountains, same old garden setup and same old view. Keep a good 1-2 hours once you enter and come with the best walking shoes you... More

It was like visiting some generic park from the early 90s...maybe 80s! Very ordinary...with some simple fountains....there are more shops selling gobi manchurian inside than fountains or flowers! The so called highlight - the musical fountain is totally avoidable and overrated,so don't cross the bridge to check this out! And don't visit it at night..avoid during rains too..err..just avoid it!... More

Beautiful gardens about 1 hr from Mysore. Best visited in the evening when there is a light show of the fountains. Kids will enjoy a lot as it is a different kind of experience.

These are beautiful gardens that one should not miss on their trip to Mysore. Due to lack of time we could not visit them in the evening. But even in the morning these looked beautiful. I would rate these as one of the best attractions of Mysore.

This place is about 1 hour drive from Mysore. We went there with a hope that the place would be spectacular especially the fountain show. We were very dissappointed. The lawns are at a fantastic location, but poorly maintained. And the fountain show is not even close to being nice. Poor management and maintenance add to the sad experience.

First visited in 1989. Stop by after sunset to enjoy the lights walking along the fountains. Again visited it during the day in 2009 with my family. It's really worth the visit and a great experience because it's one the best Musical Gardens in South India.

A disappointment for sure. Can see the grandeur of the past, but presently has the looks of a government maintained site in India. Mediocre maintenance. Sad. Can be a great place with some care.

The KRS dam and the garden are technical marvels of their time. They are worth a visit for this reason alone. By today's standards the garden cannot be said to be beautiful and very well maintained.
