Wonderful colourful experience wandering through the narrow market stalls. Beautifully displayed fruit and vegetables (they have separate areas) with little hassle from the sellers or other locals. So many vibrant colours to admire. Also check the heavenly scented flower market in the same place.

Wandered to the market on the suggestion of our hotel and were pleasantly surprised. Our first day in India and it was what we'd hoped to find. Didn't feel too conspicuous despite being the only tourists in our 2hr visit! Got mildly hassled but easy to walk on in most cases. We were charmed by the same seller as a... More

Huge market, full of colors. My advice: don't by oil there, and improve your bargain skills. I liked a lot this market, local people...

Devraja market in the center of Mysore is great market of fruits, vegetables, flowers and colour Rangoli powders. During dusshera this market comes alive with festive looks. Good to visit with children.

How this isn't number one is beyond me. This is a great market, along with the surrounding area. Rivals Oaxaca and d.f. markets, imho. Loved it! Paid too much for an old lock, but got chai with the locksmith. Got some perfume oil, and an impromptu demonstration on how to use those beautiful powdered pigments. Traded a pen for a... More

Its a market selling vegetables and fruits at a very reasonable rates and pretty noisy and crowded place. Its worth experiencing the selling and buying techniques of the locals.

Once we enter into the Market, we can see a large number of fresh fruit and vegetable vendors all over the market. All types of fresh fruits and green vegetables are readily available every day and night. Rates are very reasonable. The market is in the excellent location at the heart of heritage city of Mysore where everything is available... More

Incredible local experience! The market had unlimited fresh flowers, local silk, bangles, fruits, etc. An experience you shouldn't miss in Mysore.

Wondering round the market was fabulous. Sure, you get the stall holders hassling you to buy but it is pretty good natured and when you catch them out on outrageous price requests they treat it as a huge joke! The people are all very friendly and all want to know where you are from. We had a demo on how... More
