The roadside is beautiful, developed by Britishers on ridge overlooking valley. Traffic is not allowed on this road and thus one can walk freely, thankfully benches are also put by municipality for people to rest and enjoy. Somewhat similar to Coakers Walk in Kodaikanal in south India, more grand. One end of road has a famous Christ church. The road... More

The Mall is Shimla’s high street, high meaning not only ‘main’ but also simply high up, with those wonderful views over the town and the hills. Provided that you can see through the ribbon-development two-storey shops, that is. This is a pedestrian precinct and the social heart of the town, from Scandal Point to the Lift. Here there is the... More

The whole place is good for people watching and culture study and though a bit crowded, the place offers a whole lot of things to see and experience. The Mall is one of the most famous places in Shimla and also happens to be the center of the city. The whole place as name suggest is nothing but a stretch... More

This is like any other Mall in a hill station in India. A lot of shops selling clothes, food and souvenirs. A nice change is the fact that the shops all have a fixed price for the products they sell so forget about bargaining. A lot of options for food.

Lack of good restaurants. :-( Very limited options to choose. But you can enjoy photography at here. Nice crowd. Enjoy the evening walk here.

Great way to spend a lazy half day waltzing down the hill from the ridge popping into a ton of smart little shops along the way. The local authorities have done a great job of making the street fronts tidy and promoting a relaxed pedestrian feel to the place. I also appreciated the provision of free filtered municipal water taps... More

If you want to buy any branded items in Shimla, even a phone charger, you will have to go here. But the time to walk up to the mall, kind of hectic to walk in the cold weather. Two lifts & then walk half a mile. Sad part!
