Don't bother with any other form of transport if you are reasonably fit do the heritage trail you see a lot more.We were there in March and be advised to take some warm clothing .

it was awesome. The trek was through forests and just amazing views. The icing was the waterfall after the pump house - a must do

Despite people telling me not to go, I went to Glen and the falls, alone without family. Noone was there at at the entry. Could only see a few people on the road. We had a lovely walk from the Mall to The Glen through the forest down to the Army Exhibition....very good exhibition!

I visited shimla on end of March 2013.I enjoyed the tour.The weather was too cold .scenic beauty of shimla is unforgettable.Even i saw fresh snow on the roof of the Governor office on Mall road on 30th March 2013 morning. We went to shimla in jan and visited annadale by taxi . annadale is nice and secluded place far away from the madding crowd. It has a huge halipad and and an army museum .
