The outer walls of the "old fort" are about 50 feet tall, and contain a number of imposing gates. The walls form the backdrop for a sound and light show in the evenings (we didn't see, alas). It's a great place... More

I visited this place last weekend when it was pouring heavily. On reaching we purchased the tickets and entered the Qila. The majestic doors to the Qila is indeed fascinating. It definitely has a huge stretch of area with a wide wall. We even took a walk on top of those walls, from where you get a glimpse of the... More

Takes you back in time and is steeped in history. Choose a pleasant time of the year to make the experience more enjoyable. these days there are a few boating options right outside the fort incase you want to cool off too.

This please is little crowded with family and kids. There are lot of Monuments inside. You can also go for paddle boating inside as there is a lake nearby. It is also said that Pandavas resided in the same premise. However there are no markings or monument from that era. There is a small temple nearby. Which I am not... More

This is one of the most populated monuments easily accessible from Central Delhi. The fort as the name suggest is quite old, however it has its less known perks. There are spots roughly every 10-20 meters, these can be benches, seats picturesquely placed below trees and beside the running track that covers the whole area. Besides these the area offers... Purana Qila in Delhi is one of the most ancient sites in Delhi and a popular attraction. Built in 16th century, started by Humayun and completed by Sher Sah Suri. Love the lush green grass of the lawns and the gardens its inviting ambience.....

This place rocks. After visiting the museum, please go to the rear wall of the qila , climp up the wall( its easy if you are fit) and enjoy the awesome view. ( going upside the wall can be dangerous. It's too high. Not for acrophobians.)
