A great way to show off my country. I always bring back beautiful presents from the Cottage much appreciated by my friends and work colleagues here in London and would recommend it to anyone visitng Delhi. It is worth visiting and does India proud. Mrs Kasturi Lahiri, Surrey, United Kingdom more

I loved almost everything there. So much handicraft at one place, really nice. Its a shopping paradise. Nice stuff, at cool prices. Delivers on time as they promise and that too in good shape. Nice place, will love to go there once again and infact many many more times. :) more

In India on a business trip, bought a tribal rug, some diamond jewelry, and scarves - The rug arrived in NYC exactly what I ordered. The jewelry and scarves I took with me on the plane. I have had the Jewelry appraised since I returned. My general comments: Quality - first rate Prices - 1) Carpets about 1/2 'retail'......but who... more

I just traveled to India with a friend of mine. We both bought custom tables. The table I paid a pretty penny for was half of the size I paid for and it appears to be the exact table I looked at in their store. NOTHING about the table was what I wanted or paid for. I was told that... more

We looked at some really exceptional scarves and rugs that were quite obviously of much superior quality to what we generally found when shopping in India. it was great to finally see truly high quality 100% Kashmiri wool and intricate hand embroidery (something we only saw elsewhere when really pushing vendors to take out their best stuff). However, the prices... more

First we were told that the price includes every charge untill our living room - then the nightmare started, First we were contacted by DHL... more

As far as shopping in India goes, this was easier than most. Slightly less pressure from employees. I ordered a very expensive hand-knotted 100% silk rug. They had me sign the back of it in the shop -- literally, with a marker. They shipped it FedEx promptly -- I received it in San Francisco a week after purchasing it. Same... more

I was recently on a business trip to India and had very little time to shop. I went to Cottage Industries and was thrilled at the selection and service. There were many different price ranges available, and it was nice not having to bargain. I bought silk paintings, jewelry (everyday and fine- there are 3 different areas and three different... more

It was nice to be away from hawkers and having goods thrust in your face not to mention have a seat and a drink while you listened intently to how and where the carpets originated. I was quite excited about buying a carpet from Kashmir and we were told by our tour company that this company was very reputable with... more
