This is a good place.But it's too sunny.I would prefer to go in Winter.But its HUGE! Make sure you bring sunnglasses! Do'nt think its just a tower we saw 100+ things there,theres a Iron Pillar,big ston rooms,palaces,ect. I'ts one the most popular building in new delhi.I'ts Great for the whole family! more

Once you manage to find the entrance to this attraction (-the other side of the road from where you pay), and dodge all the usual hawkers etc, it is worth it. Very historic and very tall! Rubbish toilet facilities, as with all other tourist attractions in India. more

When you look at this tall monument, you cannot stop but wonder how one could have built with no cranes/machines. But it is falling off at lot of places and I see no proper effort of restoration. We were there on rainy day and there was water stuck everywhere. Definitely the monument deserves better care. more

When 2 of us visited in December 2005, there was refurbishment construction surrounding the Minaret. That has been completed and when 12 of us visited in December 2008, there is a new area of refurbishment going on. This should not dissuade one from visiting this unique monument. qutab minar is one of the oldest mughal minarets formed in the capital city of india. it was built by the mughals during the mughal era of rule in india. it is regarded as the longest minaret in asia and is famous for plenty of things. also there is the great iron pillar situated within the premises of qutab minar.... more

The Qutab Minar site is located to the south of Delhi. The main focal point is a very large tower. This was the location of the first mosque in India. The tower and surrounding buildings were partly built using materials taken from several Hindu temples that were knocked down. This helps explain some of the architecture.
