Description: When in India offers exhilarating yet leisurely tours of the charming Old...
When in India offers exhilarating yet leisurely tours of the charming Old Delhi in specially designed pedicabs (rickshaws) and includes an exclusive visit to an old haveli (mansion) built in 1860. Our one-of-a-kind tours have been covered in various newspapers, TV channels and magazines and are included among 'the top 50 trips of the world' by Outlook Traveller (a top travel magazine in India). If you are looking to explore Delhi's rich history, heritage, religions, cuisines and culture, then you will love this experience. With us, you get transported 400 years back in history and glide through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk (The Moonlit Square of India), the most popular street in Old Delhi. Take the tour and witness the architectural marvels, the multicolored facades, beautifully decorated shops, ethnically dressed men and women and get bombarded by the fragrances emanating from the potpourri of eateries that line these historical alleys. Included in the tour (exclusive offerings) are foods from famous eateries, real time live-commentary, visit to an exclusive photo-gallery and souvenir booklet. Our expert Delhi enthusiasts (passionate guides) show the city from the local's perspective and tell tales that breathe life into the history of one of the greatest heritage cities in the world and help the guests discover the real places that they will not find in the guide books. Our 'holistic tours' include visits to Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Spice Market, Wedding Market, various Religious Shrines, Silver Bazaar, Town Hall, Zeenat Mahal, old mansions, and other hidden gems. We have paired up with several Delhi hotels and have served dignitaries including the ambassadors from the American and the French Embassies and many other guests from international organization like W.H.O., U.N.E.S.C.O., World Bank, U.N.D.P., Bill Gates Foundation, U.N. and others. We also offer tours in New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

I took the 3 hour trip round Old Dehli. In 3 hours, I learnt so much about India - I feel that India makes a lot more sense to me now. I can look around and understand why people are doing or wearing different things, how to behave in different places, as well as plenty of general facts and trivia... More

It was worth the wait to see Old Delhi with Ritu and her team of rickshaws! The tour showed us the big sites including the Jain temple and largest Muslim mosque in India as well as the side streets where her grandfather lived and secret gems like the spice market and a grest place to try street food. It is... More

We can not recommend When In India Tours highly enough. We were three couples and a teenager and we all loved every minute of the tour. One hears about the "sensory explosion" in India and the sights, sounds and smells of Old Delhi are precisely that! Travelling by rickshaw is the best way to get around and see the sights... More

We had only an afternoon to see Delhi and Taruna did a great job of customising a tour for us. It was quite hot by the time we got started so we saw most of the old and new city in a car. A short rickshaw ride through Chandhi Chowk - the narrow alleys of Old Delhi's spice market and... More

We heard of the rickshaw tours from a friend and we were not disappointed. The guides took us through old Delhi and pointed out various points of interest via a head set which worked very well. It was a great way to wend our way through the tiny and busy streets. We visited the spice market, jewelry stores mosques and... More

I can't say enough about just how good this tour was. Prior to our tour, we spotted a lot of very uncomfortable and tired looking rickshaws and were hoping the one we'd booked wouldn't be like this. I'm happy to say it wasn't. The rickshaw was clean and tidy and in good repair. The guide and the driver were both... More

Being our first trip to India, I felt we would need someone to show us around Delhi. Friends suggested "Paradise Holidays", so through emails, we set up 2 wonderful days of sight-seeing. Our first day began with a 3-hour "Old Delhi Rickshaw Tour". It was not only the highlight of the day but one of our best memories of our... More

As many of you are doing I too hit up Tripadvisor for suggestions and advice on visiting India. After some research I reached out to a few tour companies. We found out of the top 5 that When In India was by far the most responsive, to the point, and the easiest for us to work with. When in India... More
