Our day with Jyoti is one we will treasure for a long time to come. Upon arrival to her home you are greeted and made to feel like a family member. Jyoti is a calm amongst the Delhi madness. Upon arrival she explains about the Indian history and culture and gives you recipes to look through. Expecting to pick 1... More

Jyoti is a treasure!! A fabulous cook and such a fun, warm, and smart teacher. First of all, before the class I was able to express what dishes I hoped we could prepare. Everything I suggested, she said no problem. My whole family spent the day cooking, learning, and eating with Jyoti. At one point my 10 year old daughter... More

Being tought a little about the history of Indian cooking and proceeding to cooking a large dinner with several delishious dishes was a great experience for someone interested in food and wanting to learn more about the spices and tastes of India. Made a last minute booking with Jyoti, and had a blast learning to cook a variety of Indian dishes in Jyoti's home. Jyoti speaks great English, and is very well travelled, and knows a lot about foriegn cultures - important when translating what ingredients and dishes would be suitable to cook outside of India. The class went well beyond cooking,... More

We highly recommend that you spend an afternoon with Jyoti in Delhi. We learned how to make several Indian dishes and then enjoyed eating all of them, making it a four course lunch. After spending nearly four hours in her home, she took us to the spice market where we were able to purchase many delicacies. If possible, take her... More

Allow a whole day for this wonderful guide to Indian cooking. It was my favourite day in Delhi. The trip to the spice markets is an added bonus. All you Australians, we purchased heaps of spices (including saffron) and it all got through customs (declared). Do not get bay leaves or any un-crushed seeds and you will be ok. More

Jyoti is a great culinary and more importantly cultural teacher. She speaks excellent English and is very friendly and outgoing. I was able to replicate most of the dishes she prepared in our class once back at home. She was very smart and informative, and could answer all our questions about regional cuisine and Hindu culture. She is warm, fun,... More

Loved the cooking class at Jyoti's house! She was so friendly and inviting - very personal touch so we could ask any questions and get the most out of it. We were on a very tight time schedule and she fitted a class around the time that we had - very flexible and went out of her way to help... More
