the trip to Agra (Taj Mahal) is quite long. 4 hours in the morning (we start at 4am), and more than 5 hours in the evening. More

The Taj is definitely a must-see. It is beautiful, majestic, but the trip is long, and not cheap. More

You cannot miss the Taj Mahal if you travel to Delhi. Agra is very close & can be covered in a day. But you will not be able to see the other places of sightseeing in Agra, as whole day (almost) will be spent at the Taj Mahal, The Wonder of the World. More

Agra is a compulsory visit when in India but it is very difficult to do by car in a day. If you're doing it by express Shatabdi train, fine. Train is the only way to travel to Agra-it takes a little over two hours. Car can take anything between 4 and 6 hours and that too, in chaotic Indian traffic.... More

We had our hotel (Leela Palace) set up excursion to Agra to visit the Taj. Lovely site. Guide was arranged via hotel. We had lunch at Oberoi. I wouldn't do the train. I preferred to have control over my time. It was a long day, but a good one! More

Definitely worth the time for logistics to get here from New Delhi. From the New Delhi train station every day one express train departs 06:15 to arrive 08:05-08:15 in Agra. This train returns to New Delhi at 20:30. Advance train bookings are recommended. Cost is less than INR 500 per person one-way. This morning train is highly recommended, because it... More

It took a long day to travel to Agra from Delhi as the roads were crowded but we felt it was worth the time as it was delightful to be at the Taj Mahal. More

3 hours on a train there and 3 hours back is just about bearable for a day trip with young (aged 5 and 7) children. Well worth it! More
