we wonder why this has been listed as an attraction. it is a train not like swiss trains. people who are in the need of travel ride this train. No one visit this train just for pleasure or ride. pls remove this as an attraction.

The pride of Ms Mamata Banerjee is no longer what the introducer had meant it to be. The train is perpetually late. Having been the best train in India this is sad downfall. However, on the brighter side, the food is still good and the service excellent as the old folks are still around to look after you. So what... More

The train speed and schedule is good. The cleanliness is also good. The linen just okay. The two bread slices in breakfast were paper thin with only butter. No jam. Upon being confronted with the quality and quantity of food, they had no answer and refused to bring the Complaints Book. Railways seems to have thrown the prestigious train to... More

We recently travelled from Delhi to Chennai on Doronto Express. The first thing the staff does is turn off the AC. I was in first AC feeling co coupe. I talked with several staff members why the AC was turned off and the reply was they were cold. I stated that at least keep the AC at normal room temp,... More

Another option of travelling from New Delhi to Kolkata. the only added advantage being no scheduled passenger stops in between(Duronto). Can be headed to either Howrah or Sealdah. Food is okay, service is good.

Previously, Rajdhani Express was the best train connecting New Delhi to Kolkata (Howrah and Sealdah are two main railway stations of Kolkata) by Howrah Rajdhani Express and Sealdah Rajdhani Express. Both the trains depart almost simultaneously, around 1630 hrs from Kolkata/New Delhi railway stations to arrive at around 1045 hrs on the next day to its respective destination (one should... More
