It was included on our boat tour and it wasn't all that worth it, in fact if there was an option to exclude it I probably would have. The problem is that you don't realize how lame it is until you do it, I mean who wants to pass up the opportunity to see dolphins frolicking in there natural environment.... More

We saw nothing as dolphins, but watched a tiny cute sloth on the tree, just near the water; in the Dolphin Bay. But another boat told that they saw one. In the evenning some boat captains told that, some captains take the short route to save fuel, that is why we couldn't see any dolphins. Don't know whether true or... More

My family had a blast in the bay. Our boat pilot knew exactly where to take us. There were many dolphins playing and jumping over and over. There were 4 boats near our area and one was circling many times over. The dolphins start chasing the boat riding the wake at times popping out of the water and making slapping... More

Beautiful place. We saw dolphins but they are having some difficulty here as they are being driven off by all the boats.

Skip it if you can, but you wont be able to because all boat trips seem to include this stop. There are either no dolphins or just a couple. There was a proper conduct in dolphin bay official (goverment) rules posted in the tour office but they were not followed. I'm ok with seeing dolphins from a California beach.

Our group went to Dolphin Bay as part of a package tour that went to Zapatilla and Cayo Coral. While we loved visiting the other two places, Dolphin Bay was not what we expected at all. We were very disappointed with the disregard for the dolphins. Multiple (~15) tour boats were present in the Bay at the same time and... More

Well, I was so attracted to see dolphins in the wild that I befooled myself and took for granted the information from some advertisings writing that captains of the boats pay attention to minimalize any harm to dolphins and their environment. Now I precisely know it isn't true. If the captains stop the motor when approaching the bay is because... More

I love dolphins in the wild. My trip to the preserve was done well on a sailing catamaran. The captain was considerate of the dolphins, and took every precaution not to disturb them. However, other motor boats attempt to chase and get close to the dolphins to please their paying guests. There are reports of dolphins being hit by motors.... More

Skip this, and look at pictures of dolphins on the internet. None of the local guides demonstrate any knowledge of, or respect for, marine mammals. The few dolphins that have not fled the area, are constantly harassed, chased, circled, and menaced by the many (11 when I was there) tour boats, manned by short-sighted and poorly-educated captains, trying to curry...
