This is a big enjoyable park if you just want to enjoy nature and time away from big busy cities. Once in a while, you can see military jets flying overhead. You can also rent bicycles and ride around the park.

Its a nice park with very organized bike path, it takes you around the park, go through two beautiful lakes and also to the seaside park. A nice trip to see both green and blue. Its good to spend a morning or an afternoon here, rent a bike, open your mind to enjoy the nature.

The forest park is very cozy and green area, where you can easily spend a whole sunny afternoon biking and enjoying the sun. I wouldn't recommend going to Taitung just for that, but if you are already there, certainly worth a visit.

This is a large park that is adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. While there are plenty of trails, it is best covered by bike as the distances are quite large. There are several ponds, lakes and reservoirs. Most of the trails are shaded. There are plenty of places to stop and rest, even bird watch from a wood structure built... More

Nice to see the nature preserved. There are a lot of amazing scenic places along the coastline that you must visit if you ever get a chance.

Would strongly recommend going through this park on a bike as it covers a wide area and may be too large to explore on foot alone. The pathways are a bit narrow, but there are little to no sharp inclines or declines, making the bike-ride reasonably family friendly and suitable for most ages. The park features multiple ponds, of which... More

Nothing really special. It is true that it looks so much better in picture than in actual.Riding a bike is recommended though.

This is a nice and beautiful park. You can go walking, but better go there on a bicycle. There are many bicycle lanes. Many different kind of trees and well maintained. There is a kiosk for some food and drinks. In the eastern part , near the ocean is a big lake, suitable for swimming in fresh water.

Ditto other reviews regarding the breath-taking scenery and crystal-clear lake. What struck us most is the locals who also hang out here. We saw an aborigine tribe gathering on the beach, a few Taiwanese temple workers eating their bento on the side of the road, and a few elderly veterans taking fresh air under the trees. My kids were fascinated... More

We rented bikes ($150 NT/ea) for my son who's 8 and my mother who is 72. We rode around the Taitung Forest Park with our tour guide (We stayed at Toyugi Hot Springs Resort, and booked this half-day tour with them). It's about 1 1/2 very easy ride on a nicely paved bike path. The three-color ocean of Taitung is... More
