Beautiful island with fantastic snorkeling / scuba diving opportunities. They have walk bridges that extend into the ocean and you can literally walk off the bridge and see lots of colorful deep ocean fish. They also have a large open hot spring area where you can go and see the sunrise. There's also a bit of history on this island... More

We just went for the day but it was gorgeous. You can rent a scooter easily and just spend all day driving around. Just a note (and I wish I could remember the name of the place) - if you don't have cash and you're using a Visa card (which I wish I had known was such a huge problem... More

We have visited Green Island for the second time since we had only stayed for a day in 2013 - which is just not enough. Rent a scooter and drive around the island - after each curve you see more extraordinary and beautiful landscapes. Green Island is probably not ideal if you look for sandy beaches but if you look... This island is a paradise for Diving with varied corals, flora and fauna.. You can also see the Hammerhead whale if it is the right time of the year... This island is reachable via regular boats that run everyday, but be sure to check the ship timings beforehand as we missed the last boat of the day and had to... More

Green Island is a lovely little island, visiting during the Autumn or Winter has the advantage that its much, much quieter, hotels are cheaper and most importantly the diving isn't completely overrun. The weather can be a bit miserable though and some of the charm is definitely lost when it's cloudy and raining. There are literally 50 dive shops on... More

I was there in March with my boyfriend, low season, lots of space and it was quiet and peaceful. We took the ferry to save money and a MUST is gravol for the choppy ferry ride! GRAVOL!! Don't forget it. We called the ferry terminal to reserve our tickets ahead of time and paid when we got there. You can... More

We were not so sure whether to take the trip to the Green Island, but boy I am happy we did. We visited it in mid October and although it considered off season, the weather was perfect, around 25 degrees, sunny and nice. Can't imagine enjoying the island in mid-August heat. We stayed in Jack's Inn and rented electric motorbike.... More

In brief: its a beautiful place to snorkel or dive. There's a couple landmarks that are worth stopping by and many more you might want to drive past. Unfortunately, this island caters to Mandarin speaking people only and advance bookings for tours, rentals, and ferries are a must. My husband and I stayed on the island for 4d/3n. You typically... We rented a bicycle and cycled to different parts of the island. We snorkelled in the crystal clear sea and were greeted with a whole array of fish and sea creatures. One of the restaurants we visited served desserts in giant seashells. Be sure to spend at least one night on this lovely island with much to offer.
