Green describes the faces of a few of my fellow travellers during the ferry crossing, but the journey wasn't anything like as bad as I'd expected. The island itself is very green and lovely to explore, with many interesting natural and man-made features. The old prison complex provides a stark history lesson and a place of contemplation. The hot springs,... More

Great place to make a side trip when you are visiting Taitung. I spent a day here renting electronic bike. Its very easy to travel around the island. Roads are well paved and not much vehicles. I love the Zhaoyang hotspring as it is the only salt-water spring in Taiwan. You can enjoy the spring with a view of the... More

We visited green island for two days, upon arrival there are lots of touts at the ferry terminal and we found a good deal on a hotel room through them. Most companies won't rent you a scooter without a local driving license, however you can get round this by hiring an electric scooter which is available from some of the... More

This was our second time here. It is fabulous! We love the scooters, hot springs and hotel. The snorkeling was AMAZING! We'll be back!

Just made a bad catch. Been ripped by Green Island Bali Resort and the Green Island Old Car Club. The driver of the Resort talks you in the car tour trip, the hotel cashes out. If you take their advice for ongoing stays wherever, esp. Lanyu, expect the worst. If you don't scuba dive, get there by first boat, rent... More

i love this place! the island is small and beautiful. we rented a scooter to tour around the island, 哈巴狗与睡美人 is a great spot for stargazing, heard that you can even see the milky way with your naked eyes if the sky is clear enough! make sure you try the famous and yummy lamb hotpot (温泉羊肉炉) and 炸飞鱼. the journey... For a truly real island experience Laid back and chilled. Hire a scooter and the island is at your finger tips. People are cool and friendly From party to scuba vibes. Excellent views and nature scenes

Accessing this island is pretty easy by ferry or plane from Taitung. The island itself is small enough to be able to see most of it in 2 days but you will still need a mean of transportation (scooter is the main option and there are thousands for rent next to the ferry terminal). On the island, I would recommend... More

I was there during a typhoon so the weather could have been better. Stayed at Mimi Gardens on the north coast at Guangong village - nice room, friendly people and comfortable bed. Location is a fair way from what passes for the main town so limited restaurants in walking distance. Enough things to do to keep you occupied for the... More

This little Island has its atmosphere and is worthy of visiting. Getting there by boat is easy while in our case we just bought tickets 30 min before boat departure. But it is typhoon season so maybe that is the reason. Renting scooter is must because you can ride around the island in thirty minutes.
