Although I was aware of the islands snorkeling and diving, we went anyways in late February. The weather was not at all conducive to these activities, so we did everything else the island has to offer. To begin: you definitely need to beware of the choppiness of the seas. I was forewarned by reviews and bought motion sickness medicine. This... More

Green island is a spot for snorkelling and scuba-diving. There are underwater hotsprings that makes this island special and worth a detour when you are in Taiwan.

We went on three day trip to Green Island during first week of September 2013, which was fun, exciting and at times adventures. We took a train from Taipei to Taitung, this could be around 6 hours depending on the train. From Taitung, you have two options, the Ferry and a domestic small airline. We opted for the Ferry, and... Loved: Deep sea fishing. Chartered our own private boat and caught 5 Tuna. Loved snorkelling in some of the more remote spots of the island (just bring your own snorkel gear).

Beautiful island! Untouched gem! We engaged the owner of sunny home mingshu, mr huang, to be our guide. He knows the island so well that every place he brings us to is beautiful and unknown to many. Beautiful scenery, caves, lighthouse, snorkeling! Contact him at 0988-761900.

First on the ferry just go to the top outside of the boat do not even try to sit inside. People get sea sick very easy! Anyway it was a great getaway, Bring an international drivers license or taiwan license just in case they check because I believe renting a scooter is worth every penny so you can enjoy the... More

This is a great way to escape the noise and traffic of the mainland, it's a compact little island that offers great food, outdoor hot pools on the beach, great snorkelling and relatively cheap hotels, it's a short boat ride from Taidong, and you can rent a scooter cheaply to get around while you are there. It's smaller that Orchid... More
