We rode on one of the prettiest highway in Taiwan to HeHuanShan. At a height of 3200 meters height above sea level, the temperature is about 10-15 degrees Celcius in summer. Remember to bring a jacket with you. All the mountains are covered with thick greenery. We enjoyed the gorgeous views, the fresh mountain air, and the quiet atmosphere. Here... More

After resting at Qingjing the previously night, we drove up to Hehuanshan and were mesmerized by the breathtaking view of Taiwan's central mountain range.

We drove up the mountain in a car. It was windy at the top, but it was worth it. There were a lot of cyclists who rode all the way up the mountains. Many sections of the roads are narrow and only allow one car, so mountain driving experiences are preferred. The road up the mountain wasn't lined with as... More

Tremendous view! love it. Suggestions: But it was in the mountain. If you dw to be too tired, take a cab to go up.You can asked the cab uncle to took you all from Hehuan mountain-Wuling-Hualien.Throughout the whole journey, the view is breathtaking.Nicer than Hehuan mountain view! The nicest view of the mountain: When the mountain was snowing. It was during jan-march season. But it... More

Probably one of the highest roads in Taiwan, probably at 3200 meters. It is above the trees and it reminded me of the high mountain area in the Andes. Impressive.

It's about a 30-minute drive to Hehuanshan from Cingjing grasslands. From the peak, the road leads to Hualien - home of the famed Taroko Gorge. However, take this route only if you are not prone to motion sickness as the road is extremely winding. But the drive from Cingjing to Hehaunshan is very good. It's well paved, not too winding... We didnt plan this initially in our itinerary but it was recommended by our driver. Hehuanshan mountain range is made up of a few mountains of various altitudes such as the Lushan, part of Yushan and several Hehuanshan peaks. The highest point is at the 3470m above see level. Hehuanshan snows; or iciscles form when temperature falls below 5 degrees... More

Waking up early on a cold morning is not fun at all. Having to wait for the mini bus in the cold is not a great way to start the day. We were on our way to view the sunrise at HeHuanShan. We booked at the reception of our hotel and the bus arrived punctually after making a wake up... More

Went on a 4hours stargazing and sunrise local tour,up He Huan Shan. The stargzing was a fantastic experience, both for the kids and adults alike. Through a Mandarin speaking stargazing guide, we got to see the various star constellations, which would have been just specks in the sky to us usually. We even managed to catch some shooting stars in the... More
