It was a clear day so while coming down from Cingjing to Hualien via Taroko Gorge, we enjoyed a fantastic view of the "yun hai" or "sea of clouds". I've travelled quite a few places but this is still a beautiful sight to behold. Beware if the clouds spill over onto the road that you're travelling on, the visibility can... More

Our visit to Hehuanshan was the high point of our Taiwan vacation in June 2014. My two teenaged daughters and I decided to book the Hehuanshan tour package featured in the RoundTaiwanRound website after seeing the hiking itinerary. In the morning, we hiked the Shimenshan for about 1.5 hours. It was a sunny day and suitable for hiking. We had... More

Viewing the sky full of stars & sun rise here are absolutely amazing. -Suggest to join the Sunrise of Hehuan Mountain tour (NT$400@) P.S. It will be much colder than in Cingjing, remind to bring enough clothes (or borrow clothes from tour company).

It is a long journey to Hehuan Mountain, about one and a half hours more from Cing Jing. It stands at around 3000+ meters above sea. The view is great and it has nice cool breeze up there. Should drop by if you are already at Cing Jing.

We rented a car in Hualien and drove across the island delivering in Taichung. We drove by wulai passing, the highest road in east Asia and there are Several treks to multiple peaks of huahenshan. The views are dramatic as you ascend and descend, but we were a bit unlucky with the thick fog that set in above 2500 meters.... More

We had good weather and the sky was blue. We booked a driver who took us here from our minshu in the morning to stay ahead of other tourists. Then we turned around to Cingjing Farm and had lunch in that area before heading back to our minshu. The view of the mountains in different directions was very good. There... More
