This is one of those places which is really dependent on luck. We were told that there had not been any sunrise for days when we were there. Nevertheless we took our chances, got our lodge owner to book a mini bus tour package for us (it starts at 4am). It was pitch black at that time on the way... More

Took a morning tour to see the sunrise at the top of Hehuansan. Freaking cold weather with greatest view. The journey was about 1 hour from Cingjing. Recommended!!!

I hired a VW T5 (9 seaters) for a day trip on 26 Feb 2015 to Hehuanshan, Cingjing farm, Mist Garden and Puli for just 2 of us – me and my wife. I did not want to use a normal car/taxi. Driver promptly picked up us at 0900 hrs from our minsu and headed onto highway to Puli.  Journey... More

What an amazing place to visit ! I could not find words to describe the scenery at the mountain top. It is a must visit in my opinion. Everything is nature. Can you imaging taking photos with sea of clouds behind and below you? The feeling of "On top of the world". Do not miss this place.

Lovely view of the surroundings. Was from Hehuan shan that I got a shot of mountains that look like watercolours. There's a certain spot where the clouds flow quickly, and look like waterfalls. Amazing.

The mini bus driver, Siao Chai, who took us to our homestay at ChingJing (vienna)recommended us a trip to HeHuanShan to see sunrise. We paid 400twd per pax and departed at 4am in Siao Chai's 20-pax mini bus. Unlike other operators, Siao Chai took us far in the valley so we have an unblocked view of the sun rise. Oh... More

In feb you cannot get pass the top without it. We ended up being towed for 1000 twd. Do haggle, they start to offer you these things for ridiculous prices but they can drip it to a third minimum.

We book a Hehuan Mountain half day tour: picked us up at our minsu at about 08:30am and return our home stay at about 12:00pm. NT700/person. Be warned, it's a winding road up the mountain, but and the end of it I bet with you that it's worth it. (well, kinda... depending on the weather as well!) We visited in... More

Went there to see the sun rise. But my interest is actually the beautiful morning view of the mountain range. It was spectacular. I enjoyed it a lot. I went in winter. It was negative 5 degree C that morning, really freezing (with wind).
