We went up after it snowed so the view was breathtaking. Air is fresh and it was beautiful! It was a little crowded though, as tons of people were going up there to see the snow. But worth a trip.

HeHuan Mountain is part of Taruko National Park and it is very far. You will need to go through 3-4 hours mountain ride and will have motion sickness. Not recommended for small kids and elderly. Also, it is quite dangerous as the road is narrowed. However, you really can view the scenery of mountain and it is a must journey... More

Engage an experienced local guide and he will get you up the windy roads to the top in the shortest amount of time. He will also know when to let you alight for some fantastic photography. Coming from a city, we find the openness a refreshing change. Coming during winter time if you want to meet the frozen streams.

Very cold place in December. We went there on the 18th December and we were very lucky that on the 17th night it was snowing. Though the snow stopped on the next day, we managed to feel snow and experience the cold in the high mountain and we went high above the clouds. Its amazing to see the fast changes... More

We took a half-day tour to the mountains, there was residual snow from the day before but it didn't snow when we were there. I think one stop had to be skipped due to heavy traffic (locals were also swarming to the mountain to see the snow). Temperature dropped to slightly below 0 celsius, so be sure to dress up... More

Certainly an awesome venue for a visit. Amazing scenery everywhere you turn,...frankly, can't really shoot a bad picture here. However, visit without any expectation. Nature can be whimsical. We encountered a cold snap with temp dropping to -5'C to -8'C in late November, saw ice encrusted plants that tinker like wind chime in the wind, snow, awesome sunset and sunrise.... More

Beautiful view. We went there a few days after snowing. Still can see some snow left behind. Very nice weather. Great experience. Worth a visit if you go to Cingjing.

When I was there, I was very blessed that Hehuan Mountain snowed the night before so I managed to go up there and see the snow covered scenery. According to the locals, it was very rare to have snow and such a bright sky the very next day at Hehuan Mountain. Great for photography. And 15 minutes later after I... More
