We rented a car in Hualien and drove across the island delivering in Taichung. We drove by wulai passing, the highest road in east Asia and there are Several treks to multiple peaks of huahenshan. The views are dramatic as you ascend and descend, but we were a bit unlucky with the thick fog that set in above 2500 meters.... More

We had good weather and the sky was blue. We booked a driver who took us here from our minshu in the morning to stay ahead of other tourists. Then we turned around to Cingjing Farm and had lunch in that area before heading back to our minshu. The view of the mountains in different directions was very good. There... More

It's a definite must-go to watch the sunrise if you're visiting Cingjing. The view is so breath-taking that it's worthwhile to wake up early and travel for about an hour plus. Even though we went during the summer, the wind is rather chilly and not advisable to wear shorts and shirts with short sleeves. With the amazing surrounding, the sunrise... More

Over 3000 meters above sea level, the Wuling Pass and nearby peaks of Hehuanshan give great views. Traffic is heavy on the lower slopes though.

We came here for sunrise and were very lucky enough to watch it. It was breathtaking and exhilarating. When you came to Cingjing/Nantou, it is a must do item. A good guide will help you find a good place to enjoy the sunrise and take photos for you. On the way to the mountain, the guide will stop at a... More
