I went with my family and after a tour of a few trees we were taken to the shop were they sold us very very expensive weight loss medicine (more than 100 dollar a bottle!). Of course the salesmen are very smart and know how to trick you and your family including a good advice from the driver who pretends... More

We stooped off here on the way to Kandy. The guide was informative as to how certain spices are used for ailments etc. we were given a cup of tea while walking around which tasted lovely. Towards the end we were taken to a seating area and given a list all the things we had seen and we were then... More

We were brought there by taxi driver. Free tour around the garden. Then they ask you to choose the products. Did not state price. I never thought it could be so expensive. The total amount just knocked me out! They tried to pack everything so fast..I had to stop and remove half of the items...Hair removal cream was claimed to... More

I found our tour of the spice garden to be very interesting and informative. Being a gardener, I very much enjoyed seeing actual spice trees, vines, bushes. I would have liked to have had a more in-depth lecture on the medicinal uses of many of the plants. I experienced absolutely no pressure what so ever to buy anything! I am... More

We came here as part of a tour. It seems the tour company insisted we be delivered to them. Tour of the garden was very interesting and there were a lot of plants we would not otherwise have seen. However, it was a short impatient tour where questions were clearly unwelcome. Main purpose was to get us in for a... More

Spent much longer here than intended, and despite being a clip joint it was quite fun and the guide was charming. We did buy one thing which was expensive but it seems to work, but we declined everything else. Quite educational, so worth a visit.

The tour was sweet and we enjoyed the tour, however did buy a basket full of stuff that was very overpriced and we knew this but was our last stop. Even the airport has cheaper stuff and the nutmeg we got home appeared to not even be fresh. So it goes! Cute little place though. Enjoy.
