nice view

Beautiful view! We bought oil and flowers to offer. I would suggest wearing socks since you need to take off your shoes.

Nice temple with big Buddha statue which is one of the main land mark in Kandy. View of Kandy city was amazing. this is the only place that we can get information about all big Buddha statues in Srilanka. Forign visitirs need to pay 200 LKR donation tickets for this and should be concern to to ware suitable cloths.

Very hot day and had to be careful walking with bare feet and, of course, you have to pay a fee. Personally think the view was more impressive than the monument itself but was worth... More

You can get a nice view over Kandy here but we have seen more impressive sights as far as the statue and surroundings are concerned.

Once you reach the top you can truly appreciate the size of this statue ! The site itself is pleasant and peaceful with a great view of Kandy. You will have to pay admission but not a lot .

A nice temple at a very nice location. It could be one of the best locations for religious travelers but less worth for others to spend time as nothing much to see.

The view from this point is wonderful, especially in the evening. When i have been there there was a ceremony in the temple. This was just magical. Its nice to walk to that place.

take the walk from the city, driving up is for boring people. It's not far and you will enjoy the walk for sure. It's not a hard walk at all and the road (used to be) is pretty good.

This was at the top of a long steep hill and I was so hot when I got to the top but completely worth it! It is very big and standing underneath it you realise how enormous it is. Could climb up to the shoulders and had an amazing view of kandy. Buddhists were wandering around and it had a... More
