I lived in Kandy for a couple of years. This was one of my favourite places to walk to/around and walk by. There's not a lot to do in Kandy if you are living there, and during the day it's busy. But this place always has a soothing effect despite the busyness around it. A must see if you're visiting... More

An average lake with some fishes inside and a verry busy street arround. We wanted to hire a paddleboat, but it was very pricy comparing to other places we've been.

Kandy lake is simply beautiful. Walk around it in the morning or evening, or take a boat ride when it is cool. There are beautiful birds, monitor lizards and turtles near the water's edge.

We didn't find this place attractive at all. If you want a good walk, go in the forest behind the temple of the tooth. It's much... More

Walking near the lake in the evening is nice. No cars and not much people. The city lights are nicely reflecting in the water. Beware of bats, they are huge and can crap on your head. The lake seems to be not so nice during the daylight

The drive up to Kandy was breath taking but avoid peak traffic hours. It is a taste of lush vegetation and winding roads. Visiting the tea factory is a must. There was a very wide range of world quality teas to choose from at reasonable prices.

Nice to pass by, see the ducks, the fish. Kandy is very, very beautiful. It looks a lot like Hong Kong. Weather is good.

The Kandy lake is surrounded by the City. A very nice cool place to walk around and relax. You will find many eateries and shopping centres around this lake.
