Good location and could see lot of tress. But this place could be maintained well and their could be some more added attraction and also few more benches or chairs to sit / relax

Stroll around the lake (perhaps a mile in total) and enjoy the atmosphere. The pavement is well away from the road so, at last, you can ignore the manic traffic!

We walked the entire circumference of Kandy Lake. There is lots of birdlife to see and there are many fat and bloated monitor lizards sleeping in on the edges of the lake. We got caught in a tropical rainstorm at the end of the walk and returned to our hotel soaking wet.

We disliked absolutely nothing about this, however, the traffic can be very busy at times so choose your time to visit very carefully.

Lovely central feature. A popular place for both locals and tourists to sit and relax. Central to shopping and eateries.

Very clean water but a little noisy with traffic and pollution from vehicles. Good views of mountains and buildings around.

We couldn't believe how much wildlife there is around the lake, and so easily accessible as there is a footpath all around it. One of the few great things to do which are free in Sri Lanka.

This lake is well maintained and is located at the center of the city. There are some birds and lot of fishes in the lake. A walk around the lake in the mornings or the evenings can be quite relaxing.

Nice place to take a walk... but you have to not mind the passing tuk tuks and busses... I guess thats the charm of Sri Lanka. There is also a good restaurant and a children playground near the lake.

Kandy lake is located in theart of Kandy city, nice view with green water and pristine clean. You can see no of fishes, birds etc on the way and must photo-stop destination as a tourist. Dalada Maligawa (tooth temple) is located just adjacent to it.
