currently under renovation a wonderful reminder of the history of Kandy and the pioneers who lost their lives. The caretaker gave us a pamphlet with layout and details of who was buried where and short stories relating to them.

If you're into cemeteries and history, this is pretty cool. It has very unique was that the people passed on their tombstone. The caretake will give you a free tour. He is a really nice and enthusiastic young man.

A brilliant little cemetery where we treated to a private tour of the cemetery by the Garrison caretaker, Charles Carmichael. A genuinely interesting man with a story behind just about every grave, he paid the same service to Prince Charles on his visit in 2013. So for a private 'royal' tour - head to Garrison Cemetery and pay Charles Carmichael... More

His knowledge of each grave was wonderful and added a special touch to such a sad area. They were... More

Stumbled across the cemetery on the way to town from our accommodation. The care taker was super friendly and full of interesting and quirky information about the occupants. The visit really added to our appreciation of the history of the area.

This is a small cemetery with an interesting history. We spent about half an hour just wandering reading the tombstones and having a very nice young man filling us in on the history of some of the people laid to rest there.
