Once upon a time it was a nice shrine and famous place. Now it is not that so. Because of the road developpment authority bypassed the temple and may be political and religious influence on it. Now the holiness is not there. I felt that when I visit last time. It was a very busy place once upon a time.

It's a mut-stop for most travellers on the A9 highway to visit the shrine to and from Jaffna to invoke God's blessings. A new vegetarian restaurant is now available in the vicinity for a qucik snack or a meal.
