Another once in a lifetime adventure. Swimming in the Blue Grotto was another great experience to share in Montenegro. The only thing to beware of is that there is no set number of small boats that can enter the grotto at one time so for safety, you have to be constantly aware of your surroundings.

The sea water in the grotto turns a beautiful clear blue as a result of the reflection of the sunlight that enters into it from the bottom of the cave. On a cloudy day, you, therefore, might not experience this natural phenomenon. The cave has 2 entrances that allow smaller boats to enter. The journey to the cave takes you... More

Having enjoyed a lovely stroll around Herceg Novi, stopping at various cafes/restaurants for refreshments, we opted to have an hours boat trip around the coast before a late lunch and having negotiated a good price with a private taxi, we set off. Beautiful rugged coast line and great view of the castle and town - good photo opps. Our Captain... More

We did a Bay of Kotor tour and decided to give it a go. You pay €5 for the entrance but definitely worth it! The water is amazingly blue and you feel like a sapphire there! We did the tour in August, when it was really hot, and this dip was actually very nice and refreshing! Don't expect to be... More

Wanted to see the Grotto and Marmula but went the wrong way about it ! We booked a tour from Herceg Novi Harbour full day trip €15 each. Morning on a beech then afternoon to Blue grotto and Marmula. This is not a dedicated boat trip you are basically getting on a bus. There are many stops youre dropped at... More

We took a tour there with "Pajo" boats. We arrived at the cave and it's very impressive, beautiful and the blue of the water is even more outstanding when you are there than in pictures. The cave was busy, and we still managed to jump in the water but the fumes of the boat settle just above the surface of... More

If the waves are big, or if the water level is high you will only get a ride to the entrance to the cave. And if you are a person like me, that can't swim -you will not see it ))) 3 euros for the trip are not a big deal, but the time is because the trip takes nearly... More
