We had lunch here in Ica after the Nazca Lines flight and before the dune buggy ride. The place was a bright red sand shade with white accents - beautiful with flowers. The menu has a full range of bits and bites for sharing, appetizers, lunch/dinner suggestions. It is licenced as well. The decor was great. The many tables were... More

We jogged there before breakfast. Awesome! You have the lagune to yourselves that way. Hike around over the dunes! On the way back there's plenty of Mototaxis to take you.

The whole town needs a makeover. Buildings need repair, paint, garage and empty plastic bottles are everywhere.

Huacachina is a small, tourist village. The setting is quite nice and the surrounding dunes are easy to climb and a superb vantage point to view the sunset/rise. The buggy rides and the sandboarding are an absolute must ! Thrilling. Personally I think it has a healthy mix of local and foreign tourists. Chill out and have a drink at... More

It's the first oasis I've ever seen in a dessert so it made it fun to see, but it's well used so a bit dirty and I wouldn't fancy a swim in it but it's a nice area and fun for sand boarding.

The oase itself is not that special. Lots of buggy/sandboarding companys;)! However seen from one of the high dunes surrounding the town, makes it special. And then ofcourse you should definatly go sandboarding! If you book a trip in the late afternoon you will also see a very nice sundown!

I've been here before to do the sandboarding, buggying and camped in the desert. Great fun and highly recommend the camping. This time we just chilled out around the lagoon and had a few coldies. Wish I did that last time I was here too. Went to a bar I can't remember the name of but it was nice, music... More

We did just stay here for a half day. When we arrived at noon from Ica (by Motor taxi 4 sola) we first organized our sand baggy tour for late afternoon - evening time to see the Sunset up on the Send dune (35 sola per person for 1.5-2 hours tour). Then we enjoyed a ice cream before renting a sand...
