A fun attraction in Ica

Such a cool view. I did not realize dune buggying was going to be like riding a roller coaster. If you get motion sick it may not be for you, if you like bumpy sand dunes and going fast you will have the time of your life! Sandboarding was fun but we only went down one hill and came back... More

We did dune buggy and sand boarding tour, booked it on the spot. It’s easy to do and lots of fun. The oasis is not perfectly clean, and the water is green. There're many bars and restaurants surrounding it, but stay away from heavy meals before the buggy ride!

It isn't much, just a lake with some shops, restaurants and dunes around it. But it is beautiful and there's also the allure of seeing the only true oasis in the Paracas Desert, if that interests you. Dune buggies are a must! Worth the cash required to get in.

Amazing scenery and hard but rewarding climb up to see the lagoon from above. The town is a wonderful site and I'm so glad it's ticked off the bucket list.

Very picturesque little place, having said that it is better from a distance than close up where you can get to see some rubbish around the water. We liked the setting especially a the sun set, lots of other people seem to like the noise of dune buggies. There are some pleasant restaurants around the lagoon for a drink or... More

This lagoon is about a 10-minute taxi ride away from the center of Ica, and I stayed here when I visited instead of Ica itself. It's really nice, but extremely touristy - no locals live here. The lagoon isn't too big, but you can take a boat across it. There is a great spot if you want to spend an... More

As a whole, it's a cute and beauti oasis... It's main business is dune buggy rides. The restaurants are nice and the highlife is booming. Most hotels are below average, but for a one night stay it's worth visiting.

Easy access, different appeal during the day & evening. A bit of rubbish in parts which was less pretty.

The lagoon is basically a lake in the desert with some hostels and restaurants around. I thought it was a natural oasis but our tour guide told us it was actually artificial. It is a very touristy place and most people just go there to sandboard. It is though quite idyllic and romantic and you can have lunch or dinner... More

I came here with a taxi from my hotel (Ica's Desert House, which I strongly recommend) for about 7 soles. So beautiful and serene; a once in a lifetime experience! The massive palm trees by the oasis make this a spectacular place for photos. However, note that this is a very touristy location and it looked a bit run-down. Nevertheless,... More
