El Callejon de Huaylas

Its all magical, did not dislike anything. The roads are not all paved, but the thrill of the nature and history behind it makes it unforgettable, be ready for a bumpy ride

Very nice town, bustling with locals in the evening and good food. Great places to visit, like national parks, and off the beaten path places.

Beautiful and Amazing trek, no doubt about that. But you're safe and sound with this company. From setting up camp to cooking to personal sightseeing tips, it was a great experience. I'd recommend this company to novice and advanced hikers alike!

I live about an hour up the road, in Carhuaz. Huaraz doesn't have everything, but certainly offers more than Carhuaz, particularly in the way of tourist attractions, tours, and shopping. There are still things that are best found in Lima or Chimbote, but HUaraz is a central fixture in the Cordillera Blanca.

I've been traveling to Huaraz since 2005 and recently moved here. I truly love walking around the city. The mountains surrounding the city are breathtaking. The restaurant options are numerous and the people are friendly. If you are traveling to Peru and want a good place to start your hikes or mountain climbing... or just a city that is nice... More

I did't like Huaraz itself that much, but the landscape and especially the small villages around Huaraz are great. I started some tourist activities around there and I feel so lucky that I can go back there every time. Huaraz is not only for hikers, I don't hike myself but I still enjoy the beautiful landscape. It is also the... More

The Callejon de Huaylas demonstrates nature at its best and most terrifying. The grandeur of Huascaran and the beauty of the Rio Santa valley fill the senses. The seismic destructions that destroyed its colonial architecture have left a tragic footprint. Yet, there is beauty to explore and a fascinating Quechua speaking culture to experience. Ancash is worth the visit.

We fell in love with Ancash and with every place that we visited. Amazing hikes, beautiful lakes, food was great and really friendly people. We would like to come back for more.

This is the most beautiful and unusual coloured lakes I've ever seen. We stopped to take photos on the way to Laguna 69, just wish we had more time at this lake!

The Peruvian city of Huaraz boasts a stunning location high in the majestic Andes. Surrounded by the impressive glacier peaks and mountains of the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra, the city itself is situated in a valley at an altitude of 3100 meters above sea level. Some of the peaks overlooking Huaraz rise above 6000 meters, including Huascaran which is... More
