We went here last May 2015 with my husband. Our chauffeur drove us from Marrakesh to Sahara and we passed by this beautiful place. It's lined with palm trees and breathtaking rock formations (which looks basaltic in nature). My camera can't stop firing on the scenery. It's so unreal! How many colours can one see on rock formations? Must-see! ;)

Draa Valley has breath tacking vews, our group stayed over night on a adventure through Morocco, this was one of my best visits. We had a guided tour which was very helpful, giving all the history of the valley and how the settlers came to stay. There are a number of excellent hotels with great views looking across the valley,... More

The Draa Valley images for a great motorcycle ride, thought the palmerie and along the road. Very scenic with Zagora being the main focus, for this is where the famous 52 Days to Timbuctou trade caravans began and ended.

A must to see, the lush Draa Valley with its oasis lining the river. Spectacular scenery and rock formations at every turn, this is one of the best places in Morocco to see.

The contrasts between the green palmtrees on the river edges and the brown kasbahs made of adobe makes all the trip down the river a pleasure, either by car, on a bike, or walking

Before arriving here, much of the Morocco I had seen was not "typical" Morocco you see on TV. So, arriving here was a pleasant surprise. Its beautiful, and all that Morocco is, in the heads of tourists. The palmeries are worth the visit. Definitely make a trip here if you can. You could spend a couple of days in the... More

Not a must but it is pretty stunning to see all of these palms growing in the middle of the desert, Like a little oasis in the middle of nowhere. I wouldn't advise going out and explore the plameraie, just make sure you make a little stop here to get the amazing view and some awesome pictures.

Each season you see so many different plants flowers, colors it's amazing. Last time after the rain in November I saw flowers in the desert millions of purple flowers on the hills from Ouzazarte to zagora...beautiful what nature does after years and years different sorts of flowers and plants growing out of nowhere

We had spent a lot of time in our mini bus so wanted the chance to walk and we chose the Draa valley. It was good to see the small town we stopped at, and to take a route off the beaten track. We made friends with some local children who loved learning some English or pretended to in exchange... More
