Kashab Taourirt is one of the must seen places in Ouarzazate, i have never seen it before in my visits to Ouarzazate until i've met some visitors from Tasmania then got there we have really enjoyed the historical sites inside it and discovered the Old Ouarzazate and the history of the Glaoui families. this kasbah was the property of the pacha athami Elglaoui, who was the lord of the south slope of the high atlas and all the region of the anti atlas, and even some parts of the sahara on the algerian borders,controlled this region under the french ocupation.used in many films. More

We had a good guide full of information of this Kasbah which is undergoing restoration. There are quite a few steps and low ceilings here though! More

There are much better kasbah to visit than this one. Like Telouet, Ait Ben Haddou, Tamnougalt which are much more authentic and beautiful. More
