Redang is a nice island but I wouldn't describe it as amazing or even very good as there isn't that much too see on the ground or in the water. The corals are in many parts dead and more generally they lack colour and the variety of fish you see in other tropical places. It suits two categories: either "students"... More

One of the most awesomest dive sites in the world but the island is also overrun with tour package tourists. Can get pretty loud and crazy at night.

The Island has white sand and crystal blue waters. Its nothing but the sea and lush greenery. A place to really enjoy nature. I went for three snorkeling trips - all three were great! The corals were alive and well, many many fishes. The turtle that swam past was a great bonus for the trip. My only comment is that... More

This is my second trip to Redang after 10 years. It met all my expectation, no TV, internet, email and shopping. Every day is about sea and food. Some surprise during the trip, we saw Jelly fish during snorking and Turtle trying to lay egg. Unfortunately not success with some inconsiderate people taking photo with flash. The resort we stay... For an island destination that has become so overly visited, it is surprisingly still good. The water is clear with diverse marine life. No more life corals to be seen though. The wave is generally calm and beach gradual. Great for kids. The clean, wide, white sandy beaches is another plus. I won't expound on the beauty of the marine... More

no shopping, no red light district, no commercial. but all natural sandy beach, clear blue sea, forest track, and the magnificient marine park! diving course is reasonably price. instructors were not too bad. plenty to see underwater. and even if u r not really into diving, snorkelling or just hanging out on the beach are really nice and peaceful here.... Amazing snorkeling and rather untouched, but make sure you rent a boat taxi and see the surroundings (like marine park and Lang Tengah). Not the best choice if you´re easily bored as there are not many bars, restaurants or even roads.

I highly recommend a visit here to snorkel and watch turtles. The beach is beautiful, the water is crystal clear (but a bit murky after rain), friendly villagers. Beautiful, beautiful beautiful. But it does get crowded during weekend and litters around marine park. Else i would hv called it heaven in earth!

Bring a lot of money (about RM1500 per 2 person) to enjoy the stay there. The food is OK but do not demand more (as other part of Malaysia is better). Be prepared to do nothing on the Island, except snorkeling, eat and sleep. Do note that some other places around the Island also offers snorkeling activity with cheaper price... More

We drop by the beach for an entire afternoon during our cruise trip. It is a beautiful beach with powdery sand and turquoise water to laze around for the whole day. Visit this place if you like to spend some quiet time on the beach. It can be quite noisy when the cruise embarks near the island for the afternoon... More
