Beautiful island; perfect for snorkelling and diving. Be careful to choose spots away from the tourist trail and pay close attention to flags. Local currents mean you can get into difficulty quite quickly, so don't take undue risks. Beautiful.

Too many tourists, too many divers. I didn't try it as I saw how many did this. The restaurants have more the feeling of a stampede than a beautiful dinner.

We went there by cruise. Although it is for a few hours, I love the beach. It has crystal clear water and there are many small little fishes swimming around when one walks in the water. It's really wonderful.

Problem is that there are far too many tourists for the two beaches in use. The island actually has better beaches on the other side but no way of accessing them for the better snorkelling. Just behind the main drag of resorts, there is rubbish everywhere- legacy of the island's practice of tourists having to buy all drinking water. Bad... More

In restaurant next to The Taaras Resort You can rent a boat from Mr Goe for a amazing trip to snorkeling. He knows meny nice places to do it. The trip is worth the price.

I liked the many colourful fishes I disliked the trips being crowded and many corals have died Travellers from Penang - you can fly into Kota Bahru direct, then take a cab (3 hours - RM218) from airport - you will be in time to catch the 12 noon ferry from Shahbandar to Laguna. And when you wanna go home,... More

Excellent snorkeling off the beach along long beach. Saw turtles, adult blacktip sharks and corals as far as the eye (and water clarity) can see.
