Though rather busy, the location, and the historic artefacts and information, add to the beauty and holiness of this no-longer-used monastery. Well worth the walk, or drive, down the mountain; the sign-posted Way of the Cross is a good diversion off the road for walkers to Deir Mar Elisha.
