Desert fort

Very peculiar crumbling adobe fort. Need to ask for key to enter! 45 minutes from city center, taxi needed to get there.

This castle is unbelievable. It used to have a very special door. it is full of small rooms that were used at the times that Sar-Yazd was under attack and the people used to gather inside. I suggest you to visit this beautiful fortress which received an award from UNESCO recenly.

There are no exhibits or anything here, but this is a great double walled mudbrick castle in a village on the edge of the desert. It won't take you more than 30 mins to visit but it's still a great place to see.

This tree is the oldest cedar tree in the world. It's about 4500 years old!!! It located in Abarkooh, Yazd, Iran. I really enjoyed it, hope you enjoy it, too. Zohreh
