Was in Tanjung Pinang for a weekend getaway with friends in 2010. What attracted me is the rural living and sea food. Tanjung Pinang is a very rural area, if one is going to compare with developed city, Tanjung Pinang is not. There are many 1/2 developed buildings, or non developed areas or such, but the scenaries are definitely beautiful... More

We found this temple whilst out on ride on our little hire bike, set in extensive grounds it really does look impressive. The temple is very ornate with some beautiful carvings, not only as stand a lines, but as part of the structure such as the pillars. I think this temple is only just beginning and I would not be... We visited the temple last year during our trip to Bintan, Indonesia. It was beautiful. It is quite far from the resort we stayed in, so we visited on our way back to Kuala Lumpur. We went in noon, so its was very hot and sunny, that that helped the photographers. Its a must visit if you are in Bintan.... More

A lot of big statues and the temple was really nice. Although location is quite far from the resort, it's a nice place to drop by. Try to arrange for a tour.

The only sight seeing place here in the whole of Bintan. You can spend around half an hour here. There's a ayam Pennet in the area around 2 miles away. Sells decent food. Feel free to check out as well.

The temple is located at a very spacious land. It is tranquil and very peaceful! You will see a giant golden kuan yin in the temple. The temple is clean as well. The authority is building a big buddha outside of temple too, it will be even greater once the buddha is ready built! Do notice that the sand at... More

A very beautiful and intricately and richly decorated temple built by the Chinese nationals residing in Bintan - although it is in the middle of nowhere.
