Lot of people wrote a review for this place, but i'll wrote again to make you doesn't disappointed when you coming to this wonderful place! You know, best time coming here is between August and November, because that is summer season on our country. Second, be careful with somebody giving you special "deals" about everything ( rent car, villas, tour... More

It was the first time I saw a very beautiful scenery and amazing of a mountain. The mountain is Mount Bromo in East Java, traveling from Surabaya to Mount Bromo can be approximately 3 hours by car. When up on the slopes. we are required to rent a Jeep by locals to visit some locations there. From the heights we... More

This is definitely a heaven on earth (without the crowd, obviously). Make sure that you depart early in the morning, literally around 3 a.m., to enjoy the sunrise. People start flocking on the viewpoint even before the sun rises. It can be quite okay if they were polite, but eventually, most of them were not. Tips - Wear proper clothing... More

The view of the sunset and the scenery all around are spectacular and fully worth the early wake up and the drive on the bunpy road. The normal procedure is first you drive up the caldera wall to have a nice vioew of the caldera and the smaller vulcanoes inside it which make for impressive pictures, then get driven down... More

Do not miss the sunrise! I would recommend you start on road journey from Surabaya to Probolinggo at 12 midnight. Upon reaching Cemoro Lawang, the village at 3am, arrange for Jeep ride up to Bromo. A Jeep cost us about 800,000 rupiah for 5 pax (160, 000 rupiah per pax = RM40) Maybe you can get cheaper, we had local... More

I put my review as "terrible" only to make it considered by the maximum of people, BUT the volcano is wonderfull and worth it. BE CAREFULL when you arrive at Probolingo, really famous for all people and agencies who will try to lies and cheat you. No matter you arrive there by train or bus, the bemo or other transportation... More

A visit to the Mount Bromo area was the final destination on our tour -- which had begun in Kalimantan and was superbly organised for us by Adventure Indonesia -- and it was a fantastic finish to a week in Indonesia. We drove from Surabaya and the change in weather as we climbed was quite dramatic! Even more dramatic were... More

Very dirty, badly managed, dangerous, and smelly. You will immediately smell horse-dung because they are everywhere. The stairs going up to the peak or caldera of Bromo is dangerous because it is not managed. They don't limit the number of people who can go up and stay. And the stair is only meant for 1 lane, and yet people will... More

It is very cool to be at the top of a volcano. However, the walk up to the top was a bit more strenuous then I would have thought and I went on what locals told me was a "off" day, and it was still super crowded. Also, it really is a beautiful site but similar to the rest of... More
