On certain seasons of the year, Kintamani would be engulfed in mist & chilly wind. A huge contrast from the hit and extremely humid low land in Bali. Very popular with tourist, you can expect huge crowds in all the attractions and eateries. Bali road side peddlers can tend to be overly aggressive when pushing their produce or products, so... Since we were running short of time we went for the volcano view point. Get down from the vehicle and a whole bunch of street vendors surround you. Because of these vendors you may miss out on enjoying the views. Point (just a small stretch of road and parking) has a couple of shops and restaurants and a very colourful... More

Our first trip visiting a volcano site. Important thing to note : the street sellers here are very very very extremely aggressive (pull hand and stuff clothes and stuff into your bags level). Please be very very careful with your belonging. However, despite all of the above, this is a place that you must go, view, experience and selfie when... More

To get to the volcano you have to pay a toll and then the driver will probably take you to a restaurant which has a great view of the crater. The buffet lunch is nothing special but you have to go there just to take in the sheer size of this volcano within a volcano. The lava fields are plainly... More

The view was nice and spectacular, the breeze of the air was refreshing and cold but before you could go to view the mountain you have to pay for a ticket fee first. My aunt use to say that in the old days we don't have to pay to just see a mountain

Visited Kintamani highland in February-2015. Kintamani is there in the list of almost all tours. Our driver stopped at Lake view restaurant which has very good view volcano, lake and mount Batur. But food and service of the restaurant is pathetic and expensive too! I think it is good to trek the volcano rather than taking a glimpse from far.

We didn't do much at Kintamani but just took our lunch at a restaurant (forgot the name though) which has a spectacular view of Mt Batur. The lake is a little bit further away though. Most people will stop by one of the restaurants and have buffet lunch while enjoying the nice scenery. Thumb-up for the view but thumb-down for... More
