Family of 4 (Adults and 2 kids) took cruise recently. Cabins are small, but really cute. We had asked for one cabin with twins and one with double but ended up with two cabins w/ twins which was disappointing but we were told we were the last to book and that was all that was available (probably true). The food... More

Our boat sailed shortly after our arrival at Can Tho. A warm welcome from staff with a drink and cool towels on arrival. Our room (on the top deck) was small but perfectly formed - exceeded all expectations. A cosy double room with an orchid on the pillow. Small window, cupboard and double sliding door to wet room with toilet.... More

We, a family of 5, shared Bassac I with just one other couple so felt it was our own private cruise. We had a very relaxing two day/1 night trip stopping to visit a local village being guided by a good English speaking guide called Lan. Excellent food included and very comfortable cabins with a quality aircon unit. The stop... More

Not cheap but worth every penny. 5 star cruise in every way, from start to finish. Spent 2 nights on board and would not have missed it for the world. Everything was perfect from collection in Saigon at our hotel to the excellent food and service on board. The rooms were lovely with a/c and en-suite shower room. The trips... More

Dear madam, Thank you for your enthousiasm, I shall make sure we share your appreciation with the crew. Especially with Thanh, who is a newcoming English-speaking hostess on board. Your words talk highly of her, and I am really twice happy to read you. That your first post here be about us says even more. Thank you for your support.... More

My husband and I booked directly with Transmekong for a 2 day/1 night stay on their Bassac Boat, they were really helpful from the offset. The car picked up from our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and travelled directly to Can Tho where we boarded the boat. There was only 6 adults on our trip and 1 child, so... More

Dear Madam, Thank you for your support and for your taking the time to share your appreciation. I shall certainly share it on with the crew. As you saw, this is very much only about the real life in the Mekong. So, nothing fancy, and yet we believe that the real thing is quite worth experiencing. I am really happy... More

My girlfriend and I did a 2 day 1 night trip on the Bassac II boat, and have to agree with most of the excellent reviews on this site. We made our own way to Can Tho from HCMC on a very early morning express bus. Arrived on board at mid-day, relaxed for the afternoon as we floated downstream, and... More

Dear passenger, Thank you for sharing your enthousiasm. It is all the more valuable as you followed a less-run itinerary, one of the loops that depart from Cần Thơ and loop back to Cần Thơ. It may feel as less enticing, so I am very happy you enjoyed it. I'll share your appreciation with the crew. Benoit More

We took the Bassac Mekong Delta Cruise and I would agree with all the other reviewers. It was magical and the visit to a village was something special. But two days and one night? Nah. The car collects you at 8.00am for the four hour drive to the boat, then you set off around midday. Sail up the river, do... More

Dear passenger, Thank you for your feedback, one that I hope will be very helpful for other passengers: I appreciate that you liked the trip despite this misunderstanding. Was it unintentional misunderstanding or overselling speech? You are very right to mention that this is not two days and one night, but just an overnight trip. A classic case of overselling,... More

This timber boat shone from top to bottom. There was nothing out of place and to open your cabin door and find orchids everywhere was a lovely touch. The staff were amazing and very attentive in every repsect. I guess being one of two groups on board you could expect this however I believe that this is how they run... More

We were greeted with cool towels and drink which was welcome as we had just been on a boat trip. We found our room which we thought was spacious for a boat. It had a small en-suite wet room. The room contained all we needed for our overnight trip. Shortly afterwards the boat got underway we were served with lunch,... More

I would like to attract the readers' attention to the fact that although our journeys are all into the genuine Mekong delta, their itinerary do vary, and so please take David's experience... More

We spent two days on the Bassac Boat starting at Chau Doc. We liked the boat a lot. It is small - a few cabins, but nonetheless fully equipped (ie wine available) for a comfortable trip. The food was great, cooked on the spot and very tasty. We saw lots of floating markets, delta scenery, and river traffic. More
