Originally I am from Bukhara, and this place is very special to me. I come to visit Bakhautdin Naqsband at least once a year. Its a good place to be along with God and rethink your life and actions. Usually I make a wish while being there and it always come true so far...

All Bukhara sites are amazing...you must see how the real life is going on...city is still active and the buildings are still used...excellent desitinations...Visit all buildings like, you will enjoy a lot..I think Bukhara is the second destination after Khiva.

This is a spiritual place with rich islamic history. If you are interested in islamic spirituality, this is a must visit in Bukhara.
Dont miss the spirituality museum inside the compound, and the mausoleum of Sheikh's mother (but u have to walk around a kilometer to visit this).

Although a site of pilgrimage for centuries, this sufi shrine (around the burial of a 14th C Sufi master Bahauddin) has been very extensively rebuilt and embellished as a national site of Uzbek pride since independence from the USSR - and people flock there in droves, as they couldn't under Communism.
