Suitable only for lonely old white men with young local females, looked very seedy and definately not suitable for families with children, young couples etc. More

I don't know where 'seedy' comes from, my wife and I pay are particular about the standards of cleanliness and the general condition of the decore. Nong Khai is very much a retirement town as far as the ex-pat's are concerned therefore most of the customers are older men, and it is true that many of them have younger Thai... More

great bar, spent many a good night here simon and jig are genuine people, if you ever visit this great town called Nongkhai, then a drink in the funky monkey is a must, Jig had just started cooking thai food as i left which as to be some of the best and cheapest thai food in town, Keep swinging Funky... The attraction would be to myself and our friends who enjoy the funkey bar in Nong khia the warm friendly welcome you get from the hosts simon and jig who own the bar weve had several good times and would highly recomemd a stop off to the funkey monkey bar to all travellers passing by, we will visit again and...
