Beautiful views. Have to pay to sit on the beach but the Jax Trek runs right through and worth a look.
Yes the water is clear but the beach is really for the guests staying at the resort there and you can't use the bar or restaurant or sun chairs. So don't bother going...
After reading previous reviews, I was thoroughly disappointed with Jansom Bay. After paying 400THB for a taxi from Suratini Beach and 200THB non-guest fee, there was a small pokey beach with only a few sun loungers and an overpriced bar/restaurant. On the other hand, the views on the walk down are exceptionally stunning.
The beach is nice but you need to pay I think 300 bht per person. We were lucky as no one asked us to pay as this is part of the private hotel. I would recommend going to the restuarant there as the food around is very limited. Best to go the the neighbouring beach (about a 15 minute walk)... More
Took the short walk to the bay from our hotel at sensi beach and were slightly disappointed as only a tiny cove with resorts both sides and when we arrived there was no sand to be seen due to the number of people. A local taxi driver recommended Jansom Bay for a nice peaceful day at the beach and somewhere great to go snorkelling. It was exactly that. A private beach located on the grounds of a resort, with a 200THB entrance fee ensures that this beach is one of the more secluded spots on the island. Great snorkelling in crystal clear water.
As the entry fee is THB 200 for non-residence people this bay is not crowded and always clean from garbage. Worth the small amount of money if you are not staying at Charm Churee villas.
Very pretty! Later on is au naun beach, VERY worth the walk!!!! I also saw a shark there while snorkeling.
