If you can afford to stay at a resort in Laem Tong please do it. At high tide it really looks like paradise. Low tide leaves the beach too exposed and there are too much boats (but nowhere as nearby as Tonsai). There are also some good and cheap non resort restaurants.

When people think of Ko Phi Phi they think of Tonsai bay. Big mistake. The place you should really go to is Laem Tong Bay and stay in one of the resorts. We stayed in the Holiday Inn and despite the fact that we don't really like beach vacations, we fell in love with the place. This area of the... More

Laemtong bay is the secluded part of phi phi islands. It is away from all the crowd. Its beautiful , natural , scenic and amazing.... I will strongly recommend staying here (expensive, though) rather than at tonsai bay in phi phi ... It will be a lifetime experience...All the best...:)

Great spot for swimming an snorkeling! Lots of your boats in and out but not really a problem. This is an amazing place to say the least and for the $550 Baht all day tour it is hard to reason with not going!

It's the most quiet beach in Phiphi Don island. When I walk on the beach I felt like walking with the fish because its swim around me.

See my review of Holiday Inn for some information on exactly how beautiful Laem Tong beach is. In this review, I would like to indicate what walks are available around the Laem Tong area for those who like to walk when they are not swimming. Laem Tong is isolated. There are no roads connecting Laem Tong to the rest of... More

Best beach on the island! Secluded, white sand, cleaned daily, clear water. The Holiday Inn and Zeavola are on this beach. If you are not staying here, you can get a longtail to visit for the day. Restaurants and stores are nearby.

Laem tong is amazing, because of both the beach quality and since more higher end resorts are here, its less crowded. Waves are calmer at this end & water is free from tourists & long tails. Found decent food and all activities available here, so no need to go to Tonsai Bay. Do note you have to pay THB 1000+... More

Very quiet and private feel this place... people are friendly, and we found it much better than Tonsai bay which seemed way too crowded
