This is a nice beach, but on our visit on April 13th it was so crowded that i was a real waste of time. The beach is a small strip of sand of about 400 meters but the use of the beach for people is just a small fraction of the beach, around 15%. The rest is a "parking" area... More

This is a really nice beach with great view.... but now I guess too many people visit this place making it quite noisy... Also, the day tours tend to give you very little time.. so you just get down and get up... need some time to enjoy nature.. you don't rush it...

We visited here whilst on the ultimate watersport adventure tour and we ended up paddle boarding around this awesome spot, with cliffs towering above. Beautifully clear water - and yes there was some floating garbage - there is garbage everywhere in thailand, so not surprisingly there was some rubbish which ourselves and others removed from the water and took onto... As you would expect, this beach gets very crowded and is also dirty. Is a real shame as you can see it used to be in a stunning location. We took a long boat out for the afternoon and visited here and also went snorkelling and to viking cave.

There were soooo many people and as many boats, you couldn't bask in silence! People come here to take pictures and admire the scenery (as well as saying they visited the Hollywood location). We stayed on the island for about 30 minutes (with Andaman Tours- who originally said we had an hour when we booked!) but to be honest, 30... More

This great beach needs to be gotten to by boat and is not only an awesome side trip but is completely beautiful. Great views out and even along the beach with overhanging rock

It was horribly overcrowded, beach full of speedboats and hundreds of tourists. beverage very expensive there, small beer for 100bath. There are so many better islands to visit! I was disappointed.

We booked our tour for Maya bay, the day came and we got ready thinking that it was going to be our wonderful day at the beach. We were staying in Phuket. We were picked up from our hotel and dropped at the pier, then we were escorted on to a ferry. Anyway we reached at our destination in one... More

Maya Bay looks beautiful on TV and in magazines but not so much in person. It was horribly overcrowded with at least fifty speedboats and hundreds of tourists. The engine fumes were off-putting and the water was surprisingly cloudy for such a beautiful location. Don't go! There are so many better islands to visit!

Maya Bay is a beautiful beach with very scenic landscapes but the crowd on the day we went sightseeing was HORRENDOUS. literally every square inch of the beach is filled with people. I sure do hope Maya Bay will not lose its glory in the future as more and more tourist visits and pollutes the area.
