It was my second time here and I am still in awe of this picturesque place. Love the water, the view, but the place being too crowded doesn't help in enjoying the beach. Twice I went here as part of an island hopping tour so we were kinda pressed for time. I would've loved to explore the place and perhaps... More

This place is beautiful and i would certainly recommend a visit, but the pictures of the clear beaches..beautiful clear bay is not what you'll get, it's just too crowded and in my eyes it's been spoilt. Maybe different tours leave earlier and miss the main rush but on my visit it wasnt quit what i had imagined.

Arrived around 11:30am was busy but not as busy as I was expecting and by 12:00pm most of the tourists had left for lunch. It was a great experience to be able to swim and experience the limestone cliffs surrounding you. It is well worth a visit

Maya bay is very beautiful. recommended to visit at high tide - otherwise the bay is too shalow for snorkling and long boat access.

The Thai beach equivalent of Times Square. Way too many tourists and boats. Setting of the movie "The Beach". If you manage to look beyond all this, the place is spectacularly beautiful. So still very much worth your visit. But be prepared for the crowds. If you somehow can get there before 10:00 or after 16:00 you will have one... More

I rate it that only because it is Excellent (Minus the crowd though)! It is busier than the busiest town square you have seen, wish they stopped all the speed boats from coming in here. So if you are looking for quite beach it is not, despite all that the place is magical.

Just because it's famous from the film, it's not a destination to recommend. The beach was full with speedboats, there's even space to actually go in the water! Hundreds of tourists roamed the beach, taking pictures of even more tourists. If you can manage to be there alone it might be beautiful, but for us it was just awful.

Green sea and tiny sand, my favorite. But the waves are big and i saw a lot people fall down because of the big waves.

Absolutely fabulous beach and defo worth to do it. But it´s packed during the day so the morning or the evening are the best times to go there.
