Obviously, it's a nice bay, but what can you expect from a popular spot like Maya Bay? That you will be the only one lying on the beach and feel like Leonardo Di Caprio? Of course it's crowded and you will find trash everywhere. I can't understand that some people pay 3000 THB for a snorkelling trip with one night... More

Such a beautiful beach but unfortunately you don't get to experience it for what it is. From the shore we could barely see the water at all due to the masses of people and the boats they came on. I heard though that early mornings or a sunset cruise is much better. Best pay a little more and get something... More

Maya Bay has become one of the most visited tourist attractions these days. A very beautiful bay with amazing view. The best time to explore is the early morning. It was my second time visiting the Maya bay. So if you want to get full enjoyment then you have to come early in the morning and the way to do... More

Maya Bay is a stunningly beautiful bay that's sheltered by 100-metre high cliffs on three sides.Inside the bay there are several beaches, most are small and some only exist at low tide. I had trouble in choosing one just to lie down on its pure white powdery sand and catch the sun!But exploring got the better of me,on the main one... More

Iconic, Spectacular, Jawdropping...and Overcrowded. Most people will say the same thing. However, if you can manage to get to the tiny beach in the bay, then you can have all the benefits of the Incredible scenery without having to put up with the crush of tourists.

I didn't had high expectations when I went there, because I knew it is an over exaggerated touristic place. Actually I'm not even sure why I went, I guess curiosity. But it was worse than I've expected. The beach is full of tourists, lots of boats and extremely noisy. Even if the beach is very nice with a great landscape... More

My husband and I went to Maya Bay on Christmas Day 2014. Xmas day tour around Phi Phi Islands, Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, Pe-Ley Bay, Loh Samah Bay and the famous 'Maya Bay. Maya Bay is beautiful despite the huge crowds we managed to get some great photos. I highly recommend doing the tour of the Phi Phi Islands.

Ok ok... it is beautiful, but it is so crowded that ruins it. Lot's of tourists specially Chinese so it became just a big mess... Too many people in the shore and to many boats in the bay... Just spend half an hour to take your picks and get out of it!

Amazing water and the best sand of any beach I've ever been to/ was like walking on powder and so soft Absolutely ruined by the hoards of boats- long tails and speed boats full of day trippers from here there and everywhere, We got there at 9.30am and the beach was already packed- such a shame
