It's very beautiful landscape and it's definitely worth the visit. But beware - it's full of tourists after 9 or 10am in the morning. Get a speedboat that get's you there before that and you will probably only share the beach with another 10-15 people. We got stung by small jelly fish (end of May) so carry some ammonia with... Its like a world of its own ........but high water tide at times might not let the boat go inside the bay .

The beach itself is beautiful with clear water and a nice view. However sharing the beach with around 300 others kind of makes the whole experience not that nice.

My husband and I went about a week ago now on a island boat trip When we arrived it was like paradise but ....... We did feel as if we were dumped on the beach that was very very cramped full on visitors We had 45 minutes this wasn't enough but it was too busy The waters and sand were... More

I don't get why so many are complaining about the boats and many tourists...its obviously expectable because of the history of Maya beach. Its a must see!!! Maya bay is beautiful. The crystal clear water with its powdery sands, its breathtaking. There is a snack bar and walking path with lots of shades. You can swim there enjoy the coral... More

Impossible to describe! Must go and see! Be aware of the "extra" charge that the private boats do when stopping there around 200 baht per person. Be aware 2 of after 9am is really crownded of tourists being impossible to take that "famous picture". Incredible view and feeling...

Sandy beach (sand as tiny as powder) and natural occurring limestone (if I was not wrong) cliffs shapes a breathtaking landscape. You can miss out any other attractions but not this! Crowded with tourists though.

We were staying up on the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don, and we took a longtail boat all the way down to Koh Phi Phi Ley. Due to the time of year, the waves were very big and the water was rough in the channel between Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley. I am scared of things... More

The beach itself is nice but it's over crowded as the beach is quite small. Boats and tourists shares the same beach, kind of dangerous it seems. Go there to enjoy the view for a while should be sufficient.

Took a long tail boat out here for 3 hours which stopped in a number of places including maya bay Due to the waves we had to enter on the other side of the island and climb up a rope ladder which some people found difficult. There are toilets, snack bar and plenty of shaded areas just before you get... More
