Nice Beach Marred by the Endless Crowds

the place is 5 stars, but tottaly wasted by hundreds of turists and shameless tourism companies that will make the place in a few years just a bunch of crap. I would prefer to pay more and enjoy the place like it supposed to be than this.

This island is beautiful, blue sea, crystal clear water and awesome view. It was crowded, we reached there in afternoon so it was very hot and there was no shed where we can rest or keep our belongings, that created trouble for us and we got sunburned terribly. But it was worth the view.

Wow what can I say about this magic place. We were so lucky when we went to Pi Pi Island as it is called locally as our boat only held about 20 people and we arrived very early so hardly any tourists. We have a photo and it looks like there is only me and my hubby there!!! Just absolute... More

I went here on a trip in 2009 and it was busy then, it is simply full to the rafters now. Not an inch of the beach was available and there were so many boats parked up we had to wait until one had moved before being able to get a slot. I would never have gone had my friend... More

Visited this island as part of a 7 island trip. From the film the beach. Lovely place small cove. Must see before the crowds get there. Nice viewpoint to walk to must do as part of your Thailand experience.

Yeah, so the beach from The Beach is considered a must-stop by many. It was indeed beautiful. But not that incredible. I enjoyed a cove on the other side of the island way more (where we stopped for some snorkeling). If you go to Maya Bay, walk across the island for a sweet snorkeling spot. There is this amazing hole... More

of course maya bay is a beautiful place, but is always crowded and the place is very small for all the tourists, many travel don't even get in the beach, just stop close by and let you free to swim around. the best thing about this beach is to show a picture and say: look, i was in the beach... We signed up for a day tour with See Sea Blue. The sand is so soft, and the beach is clean. The end of the beach is sheltered by the huge cliff, and it is amazing how cooling the sand is!
