You must do a trip to the nearby Phi Phi Le island. It is really cheap to go by Longtail (wooden boat) although many travellers use the bigger faster speedboats. we did it the romantic way and hired a longtail just for the two of us. It is nice as you can see all the parts of the island the... More

The beach is awesome and the water is clear. Snorkeling here is fun and you can see varieties of fish and sea animals. The beach and other parts seem to have been split up between the various tour operators so you may only have access up to a certain point in the waters or on the beach. The whole scenery... More

Very scenic place with clear waters and perfect place for diving and snorkeling! The waters are calm with good marine life and corals. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip out there.

The lagoon was amazing, like a giant swimming pool! And Maya beach is there where they filmed The Beach. The snorkeling was just OK though.

We didn't have long to stay here as we were part of a tour but we had long enough to take in the stunning scenery. Some tourists had hired a boat to take them to the island for the whole day but I don't think you need longer than an hour really. The boats come in quite regularly and so... More

I was looking forward to see the beach from "The beach". Known as the paradise beach, I knew it will be crowded and full of tourists, but it was even worse than I expected. The crowds were not so bothering, than the fact that the Maya bay was full of speed boats. When you enter you have to pay the... More

It was end of December, and we travelled to Phuket-Thailand by cruise. Inspired by 'The Beach' movie, we booked a Ko Phi Phi tour upon checked-in. The tour provide round trip from cruise to Patong Beach, a bus from Patong Beach to speedboat harbour, a speedboat to Ko Phi Phi ('Ko' means island in Thai), and back to the cruise,... More

Booked a private tour with Phang NGOs Eco Tourism through Buffalo Tours to Phi Phi island. We booked a private speed boat because we were a party of 11 adults and 7 children plus a 2 year old. The cost was very reasonable. Mr Bond our tour guide and his 3 assistants were fantastic. Lunch was included on Phi Phi,... More
