Phi phi island is obviously nature’s beauty queen. But if you are traveling for a day trip in a ship from Phuket with your kids along with you...may not be the ideal place for enjoyment. Traveling 2 hrs each round trip through sea and stay for 2 hrs for only taking lunch is not probably worth spending. If you can do all other stuffs in Phi phi, may be night stay will definitely give you pleasure. But with kids in a day trip with big ship.....I would rather suggest to explore Phuket attractions and take James Bond island trip instead....

I'ts horrible company, they only want to have money, really bad experience!
We booked all day boat trip with U-RIP company, we are going to visit bamboo island, mosquito island, maya bay and a lot of beaches.
Firstly, we didn't stop in bamboo island, because the captain said that there were a lot of waves. But in this island there were many speed boats.
Secondly, we only ate for all day one small portion of rice with garlic. Horrible! This for all day! until seven o'clock! We were hungry!
All beaches we only stopped far away of the sand, if we would like to go to the beach, we had to do snorkel.
FInally, we arrived to maya bay, but we had to pay 100 baths for person. We paid but the captain didn't enter inside the beach, he stopped in a bay with a lot of waves. He told that his boat was very big and he couldn't enter to maya bay.
We couldn't understand this reason. But other guests jumped to the boat, swam and arrived at the dangerous rocks. There was a dangerous rope stairs, also this was broken!
It was seven o'clock in the afternoon, there were a lot of waves! I couldn't swim, because the waves pushed me against the rocks. The captain didn't say nothing, only that in one hour he will go to maya bay.
All the customers were exhausted! When we arrived to maya bay and saw the sea was plain and there were a lot of boats, uffff! why the captain didn't go to the beach?
He was swindler!! He only want 100 baths for person, and if he enter to the beach, he have to pay this 100 baths.
Don't go with this company, please contract speed boat

Do not book this trip it is a total Rip-off!! We booked the full day trip. For a start it did not stop at all the places listed and definitely not for the times stated on schedual. We were aware you had to pay 400baht to go to Maya bay but we're not told that you also had to pay for Bamboo beach. The driver would not even let us swim if we did not pay. It is an open ocean so how can they possibly stop you!! The driver was very rude and aggressive when he spoke and the boat kept breaking down!! We didn't stop at Viking cave, only drove past and was told nothing about it's history. We drove through the lagoon but did not stop although lots of other boats had stopped and there were people swimming. At one point we considered jumping off the boat and trying to tag on with another trip it was so bad. Please save your money there are lots of other companies to book with!

Never book any tour with these scam-artists. Sounds like a good deal but it isn't. They tell you one thing during the sales pitch which ends up being a complete lie. Charged DOUBLE on the boat to get off because of "national park fees". "Lunch and coke included" means 3 bites of dry rice and 3 small pieces of watermelon. Coke was nowhere to be found. We were starving when we got back on the island.

find this trip on mama beach-koh phi phi, by the rockclimbing wall. it's a new trip, not well known yet, but the only one glass bottom boat around.we went and try and it was excellent! the kids- and it was free for them! - loved it and us too, were mesmerized by the windows to the under water world. we saw many corals and fish and watched them without disturbing there life. they took us to shark point - we were lucky to see one, sleeping leopard shark ! - and stopped for snorkelling.we had loads of fun swimming under the boat window and taking funny pictures.
on the way back we find many nemo.we were amazed how lively is ton sai bay, even thought it's busy with boats.
thanks for the captain, we learned a few new things about the ocean life, and phi phi marine park.
we'd recommend this trip to all - interesting way to watch sea life, but specially for kids or elderly people,non-swimmers is a blessing.

Gunna keep this short as other reviews have touched on many of my experiences.
We booked what was purported as a ''half day snorkel trip'' around Koh Phi Phi, but really, it was nothing more than a long tail boat trip, with a touch of snorkelling for 30 minutes. 30 minutes snorkel in total, even though the trip is marketed as being from 10am to 2pm.
As soon as we got moving on the boat, we were already behind schedule, leaving around 10.30am, only to later arrive at our first location for a ''swim''. ''A swim'' I asked him? ''We can swim whenever we want to swim'', i tried to explain, ''are we not snorkelling here?'' I inquired, only to be told that ''there are no fishes here'', even though I could see movement in the water. Minutes later, while everyone is to some degree enjoying the trip, I asked and subsequently insisted that I have a snorkel to play around with outside the boat, until the truth transpired - he didn't even have any snorkels on board!
We were sharing one set of snorkels between two boats, and so we had to wait until the other group were done! To me, this is scandalous, they are a snorkelling company, selling snorkelling trips and they cannot even have one set per boat, and that is saying nothing of the quality of the snorkels themselves! The snorkels were totally dilapidated, and did not even have the water valve on the top to filter out water - an absolute necessity for snorkelling in wavy water - which we of course were.
Avoid these at all cost. Ask the travel agent which company your booking with before paying etc.

The boat rental representative was down right rude. Though we spoke to him in a calm tone, he yelled in an irate childish manner. He wanted to rent us a longtail boat that looked rundown and would not entertain questions regarding the newer boats parked right beside it, such as the price difference and speed. When we inquired about this other boat he broke into a yelling fit. He was so mad that he said “take your bad money, i dont want it”. Which was good for us, who wants to pay money to a rude, childish, ill tempered “businessman”...if you want to call him that.
Instead we walked further down the beach to a nicer man, paid less and had a great time.
U -Rip more like U-Suck

Me and my girlfriend wanted to go snorkling, she had never done it before. So we booked a half day snorkling trip for 350 THB at the office near our hotel. The guy told us we were going to snorkel from a longtail together with 15 other people. The boat was supposed to go to a few snorkling locations and Maya bay.
First of all, there were 25 (!) people on the longtail, wich is way overcrowded. It was impossible to see anything of the scenery, because we were packed under a plastic roof.
The gear we had to use for snokling was old and broken, the captain told us that the fine would be 500 THB if anything would happen with your set. We didn't arrive at Maya bay, we dind't float around the island. Instead, we went to a sort of a "back entrance" , if we paid 400 THB a person, we could climb a rope ladder to go to the beach, wich we didn't. Some people did, so we had to wait for one hour for them to come back.
Only positive thing about that; the place we waited at was great for snorkling...
These guys just want to make a lot of money out of people, instead of making them have a great time.
