Nearly white sand, really fine. Too shallow to swim. After 100m comes the coral reef with some seaurgents. Past the reef the water is deep and perfect for swimming/snorkeling. the beach is just right, from the point of view of not being too big or small, just two bars to watch the sunset and a few hotels ,all very quite and hopefully it will stay like this
The beach itself may not be the best on the island but it is quieter than those in the South and the sunsets are amazing. The beach is very shallow, very rocky and full of seaweed. not great for swimming. snorkeling can be dont further out but a better place to swim would be Haad Yao a little ways down the street
great quite beach for romantic runaway. you will witness unbeliveable sunsets!.. we started our honeymoon at this beach and quickly missing it.. (though we are still in ko phanghan).
