LAW's objective is to relieve the suffering and pain of the animals on the island through sterilisation and care. We are open to visitors everyday from 11am to 5pm when our volunteer staff will happily provide a guided tour of the shelter. We have lots of friendly dogs who would love a long walk and cats who would like a cuddle! Our major sponsor is Time For Lime bar, restaurant and cooking school, without their valuable support we would not be here. « less

I got an immediate help for my cat! My cat Sai was seriously ill but with the help of one of the veterinarian he was much better next day! Sai and me really appreciate their excellent job! It's such a clean place and all the animals are well treated! They have lots of space and always get a hug from... More

I'd heard about this place before we went to Ko Lanta and was determined to go! It's a really nice way to spend a few hours exploring the area with a few lovely dogs. Just turn up to the centre between 11 and 5, no need to call in advance. The dogs are all very well cared for, in great... More

Their main aim is a sterilisation plan for any wild roaming cats and dogs on the island. They also run a small veterinary clinic for any injured animals with whatever money they have. We had a lovely volunteer show us around the cats and dogs - which all looked like they were being taken care of. You finish the tour... More

I visited here with my boyfriend in Feb after reading about LAW online about a year ago. We were shown around the facility by Adrian, one of the volunteers, who told us how LAW was founded and about each of the animals there. The dogs all looked really happy and healthy, and although some of them were bearing scars as... More

If you are staying on Koh Lanta and are an animal lover then you must check out Lanta Animal Welfare! They are a great organization and I wish I had more time on the island I could have spent walking the dogs. In particular canines have a hard time on Koh Lanta and are seen as a pest by the... More

Ha to take my friend's small dog twice to see the vet and he was taken care of so sypathetically, professionally. Make a generous donation when you have to go please as they survive on donations. Junie at Time For Lime Thai Cookery school and bungalows is the Founder and raises cash tirelessly to help sick animals. Many volunteers give... More

I would reccommend this place to any animal lover. It's home to about 20 cats 34 dogs, most rescued. The manager is great he brings you on a tour of the place and you meet all the dogs/cats and hear all about them and about the centre. After you can bring the dogs for a walk. It's so lovely to... I visited with three friends & we were taken on a tour of the centre. The manager was lovely, and could tell us every dogs name & story as to why they were there, their names, where they came from. It was lovely to just walk around and see that they are being so well looked after. We took out... More
