LAW's objective is to relieve the suffering and pain of the animals on the island through sterilisation and care. We are open to visitors everyday from 9am to 5pm when our volunteer staff will happily provide a guided tour of the shelter. We have lots of friendly dogs who would love a long walk and cats who would like a cuddle! The dogs spend their days in grassy outdoor pens, so like everywhere in Thailand, it's best to wear insect/mosquito repellant when visiting. Our major sponsor is Time For Lime bar, restaurant and cooking school, without their valuable support we would not be here. « less

Yes! Please stop by this place if you are on Ko Lanta. Inbetween the food and the beach you might want to feel better by visiting and supporting the people who take care of misplaced animals. Cats and dogs galore! You will have a good time (although the stories of these animals are not so good) But they are better... More

If you´re in Koh Lanta this is a place not to miss! The job they do with animals there is amazing and so well organized. It is well worth a visit and be able to volunteer at the shelter.

You must stop here if you are in Ko Lanta and share your love to support the animals and the staff. The staff are all volunteers and they work extremely hard. We learned a lot during our tour and enjoyed spending the day with animals.

These guys do some amazing work with homeless and injured dogs and cats around the island. Their centre rehabilitates and helps these animals find new homes - sometimes halfway across the world. Their staff is friendly and caring and have improved the lives of countless dogs in the area. We adopted a puppy from here in April and have received... More

You can reach the Lanta Animal Welfare centre using a 10 min tuk tuk ride from saladan. Very friendly staff volunteers. Made us feel welcome straight away. Stewart showed us around and we got to see exactly how hard these guys work. Each volunteer works against a very tight schedule; it's not just all cuddles and dog walks! Great work... More

The animals are really well taken care of. They have a guided tour every hour and if you want to you can take a dog for a walk (although not between 12 - 3 PM due to the heat).
