Owner description: Lanta Animal Welfare (LAW) is a non-profit organization based on Ko Lanta. LAW's objective is to relieve the suffering and pain of the animals on the island through sterilisation and care. We are open to visitors everyday from 9am to 5pm when our volunteer staff will happily provide a guided tour of the shelter. We have lots of friendly dogs who would love a long walk and cats who would like a cuddle! The dogs spend their days in grassy outdoor pens, so like everywhere in Thailand, it's best to wear insect/mosquito repellant when visiting. Our major sponsor is Time For Lime bar, restaurant and cooking school, without their valuable support we would not be here.

Lanta Animal Welfare (LAW) is a nice, well-run animal welfare center on Koh Lanta. Open every day. LAW has really improved the lives of animals on the island Take a tour around the place or stay and help out with walking dogs, cuddling cats etc. Highly recommended if you like animals.

Lanta Animal Welfare does hard, thankless, and badly needed work. Yet, a visit with their dogs and cats can be heart-warming. Do go, tour, donate and volunteer if you can.

A good day trip where you can walk the dogs, go on a short tour and learn how you can volunteer or help out. All these dogs need a home, and these animals need vaccines. Go and support it! Very cute place :) Won't take long to say hello. Super Friendly!

We stopped in recently while on a vacation. The facility is run by volunteers, mostly expats, who take in sick, injured, and unwanted animals. They also spade and nuder stays which has had an impact as we noticed less stray dogs on Ko Lanta compared to the rest of Thailand. This place seems very organized and all the animals are... More

I was really concerned about visiting this place as I am a huge animal lover and was worried it was going to break my heart seeing all these poor animals in bad conditions, but I had no reason to worry. Huge open pens with grass and sun shelters, lovely caring staff and good veterinary facilities - this place is really... More

Cats and especially dogs are not treated well in thailand, this animal shelter was set up by the owner of the Time for Lime cookery school and is manned by volunteers. All profits from TFL go here, it's well worth a visit to see the good work and meet the animals. Don't forget to check out their website and maybe... More

What a wonderful afternoon here! If you love animals, or maybe just like them a little bit you should defiantly come here. The animals are beautiful. Tonnes of cats to cuddle and dogs to visit. The staff all seem really nice and a nice girl took us about on a short tour explaining the work they do. I was braced... More

We went there and even before the tour through the whole institution we took two dogs to go with them on the beach. It was a lot of fun and the volunteers were happy about any help they could get. I think its a good place to gain conciousness about the creatures which have been treated bad or grew up... More

This is a very special place. Don't miss the chance to visit and help out. Stu is a great tour guide and teacher, always with a witty joke and great smile. which is amazing considering the long hours and hard work he and all the volunteer staff put in each day. Matt, Claire and Vicky are some of the most... More

We visited lanta animal welfare league today and was met by a dear volunteer who gladly showed us around the whole site. I heard some touching story's about the dogs and cats that live under their care. I was so touched when I met a dog who gets around on two legs. It was great to see other travelers taking... More
