The Bay is a little-known, beach-lovers haven where you can truly relax and soak up the sunshine and beach-life of an island paradise. There's plenty of things to do; live a castaway dream, paddle in the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea, learn to scuba dive, or just make Kantiang Bay your sun-kissed home for a while. « less

We have just returned from staying in Kantiang Bay and can thoroughly recommend this area in Koh Lanta. The beach was stunning and we really felt we had chose the best part of Koh Lanta to stay in. There was some lovely restaurants and bars in the bay. The Why not bar was a good choice. Our favourite was the... More

This is probably my favorite spot in koh lanta island, even if the andaman sea took my spectacles here (was too excited to play in the water despite the big waves). You'll find this spot towards the southern end of the island, right before you go up the national park. take note that the beach isnt as well kept as... More

Almost a deserted feeling. If you like to sit in peace on a beach as the waves simply roll in, GO HERE!

Several great casual restaurants, inexpensive massage parlors and a lovely beach. More for those seeking calm than party but one of the bars on the beach does have live music each night.

This area is beautiful and has lots of restaurants and hotels to choose from but in low season beaches are average.

Only thing odd here is that the drinks come from and are paid to staff at the adjoining Why Not Bar (which is actually a great place). Once you understand this then all else is good. Really good Thai menu plus some western choices. Service great from friendly staff. Location ideal for the beach and moving on to Why Not... More

Definitely the most beautiful beach on the island. It has rocks and is surrounded by a forest (you have to walk down a little path from the main road and I strongly suggest you cover yourself in musquito spray), the sand is pearl white and the water clear blue. The best way to get here is to rent a scooter... More

We visited this beautiful beach during the low season and there was very few people on it. The sand is very clean allowing the kids to run freely playing. There is a section of rocks and had little pools with small fish. My 4 year old daughter loved exploring here. The water is very clean and the waves are fun... More
