Kantiang Bay can be found towards the south of the island on Ko Lanta's west coast. The Bay is a little-known, beach-lovers haven where you can truly relax and soak up the sunshine and beach-life of an island paradise. There's plenty of things to do; live a castaway dream, paddle in the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea, learn to scuba dive, or just make Kantiang Bay your sun-kissed home for a while.

We call this Jimmy's Bay because when we were there we met a middle age male, who is from Seattle, his name was Jimmy of course. We had a nice little chit chat about Bagpacking in Thailand. I will remember him because I brought up the SuperBowl 49 Patriots versus Seahawks. He was a really laid back guy.

Nice beach but not my favorite on Koh Lanta, not enough eating options and little shade. The Pimalai Resort seems to have taken up alot of potential shade areas. It is a convenient base to see the south of the island though.

We stayed at a hotel on this beach and really liked it. Quiet, peaceful, uncrowned. Definitely agree with a previous review that the further south of the island the nicer the beaches get. It is a little more expensive than some of the other places to eat and drink but I would rather pay a few baht more to be... More

Best beach to lounge and work on your tan! Absolutely loved the sound of the waves and birds chirping in the morning.

Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere at a unique hotel on a beautiful beach. Great place to get away from the business of other beaches.

We liked this beach and the 'Why Not' bar is super, but frankly there are lots of great beaches on Lanta

Everyone seems to rave about Ko Lanta... while it's uncrowded and a very pleasant part of the world, it's really not an "amazing" place... not even close to Railay or Phra Nang - so not sure what the fuss is all about to be honest... ;-) There's still quite a lot of trash in the towns and villages, and on... This area we have found too expensive. Not thai prices! The hotel is fancy but we have found nicer atmosphere on Klong Nin beach than here.

The best coffee (Lavazza) of all Koh Lanta - and also the most expensive (100 Bath). Nice beach, missing shadow.
